Nope I fully agree on Bosco! Definitely feels like one of those once in a while, perfect timing type All Stars runs. Whilst it’s a decent group of queens, and I adore Aja, it feels 100% like it’s her time. I think one of the strengths of a smaller crop with this format is you get to see more of everyone, I feel like everyone has had a moment and shared their story, even if they haven’t shone in the challenges necessarily. If this was even just a 12 person cast, we’d already have lost two queens and the airtime would be split between more people so you’d have a couple of invisible edits.

Episode 1 thoughts: Aja and Bosco are killing this, as TV personalities, like I’m hanging off every second they grace us with their presence. It was close between Irene and Bosco for me in the challenge but I think I’d have gone Bosco over Irene just as Bosco’s personality shone through in her verse too, but I guess we don't know Irene’s personality really as she got one episode before this Aja mollywhopped her but she did well ish in that lipsync. I like her but I do think she kind of lacks that spark, like a weird mix of a great unique aesthetic and a soulless kind of Miz Cracker/Rosé “autopilot decent at Drag Race” vibe? Idk maybe I will warm to her a little more as the episodes go on. Phoenix’s verse was almost iconically bad, bless her. WIN Aja TOP Bosco HIGH Irene SAFE Deja, Olivia LOW Phoenix Episode 2: Irene and Bosco both killed that, I am so glad Bosco’s stupid sense of humour is still there no matter how much of a c**t glow up she’s had I actually liked that skit, it was so silly but actually well done for a Drag Race parody. I thought Phoenix and Deja did well too. Phoenix actually seems so sweet and chill, I am glad she got to come back and had a decent showing in this. WIN Bosco TOP Irene HIGH Deja SAFE Phoenix, Aja LOW Olivia In general I am really disliking Olivia, just like the uwu sweet little baby tripe last around, she is trying way too hard to be something she clearly isn’t. You can practically see the cogs turning every time she speaks, it just doesn’t feel genuine and there’s nothing compelling at all. It’s a shame because I do think the talent is there. The format is actually working better than I thought, but it’s a shame there is only 3 episodes each and I think the bottom 4 when there isn’t an elimination is unnecessary, particularly when they singled out Bosco as doing well in episode 1!

Aja and Bosco, Irene and Bosco were very close but I think Bosco had her personality in it more and edged the top placement for me Aja did the best, as expected for a performance challenge Phoenix did the worst bless her, “first one in I’m the real owjeee” teas

I kind of live for Cindy just being a rotted c**t, but she’s the type of character who would work better just popping up causing trouble now and again, not a permanent figure. Right now it’s going round in circles and I don’t see a way that she can just stay on the square at this point nor do I understand why she would.

I’ve always thought for seasons like Canada where the Snatch Games are a struggle, they could so easily do a different celebrity impersonation challenge. Maybe something like a talent or variety show so that girls who are less confident being funny do a popstar performance or something, if you played an actor or comedian you could do an interview or a roast or whatever. It makes it a bit more flexible without losing the celebrity impersonation angle that has always been a huge part of drag, which is something the show wants to honour. Then again Canada Vs The World tried that horrendous Snatch Game Rusical

I hate to say it but the more I see of new Vicki the more I don’t think I like her. Idk just what’s even the point, Ross and Joel could have been characters of their own I don’t know why they’ve brought back a legacy character to do absolutely nothing and just be a prop for a storyline? I guess Letitia Dean being off work, presumably, doesn’t help, she doesn’t have anyone to integrate with really she’s just there.

I’m almost certain she’s going to end up being revealed as Banks’ wife.

I just fully take Canada as unserious and enjoy it all the more for it, like it’s always going to be good reality TV first and kind of good drag second lol

This season is a f***ing fever dream, apparently Snatch Game is OPTIONAL 😭💀 I thought the double challenges would be a kind of France 3 situation where they added parts to a challenge or like España 3 where they also did a Ball on the Snatch Game episode, but apparently they just choose, that is wild lmfaoooo I can’t. I mean Canada girls just are not funny largely, a 10 person roast straight after as well is going to be excruciating viewing lol. Van Goth wins the design part, so she will be the only winner never to play the Snatch Game if she was to win (ofc Snatch Game didn’t exist for season 1 of US but Bebe did Snatch Game later on AS3).

Saara Aalto at Bristol Pride a while ago, Pride wise I have also seen Charlotte Perrelli last year and Nicki French once. There’s probably others I can’t remember with how many random Prides I have been to. Only one I think I’ve seen in their concert themselves is Loreen, which was great but the crowd was surprisingly horrific Oh Lucie Jones in Waitress too if we’re counting that

I did each way on Albania a bit ago, not certain and I can see it in like 15th or something realistically but my gut feeling told me to go for it as it has gathered hype a bit. Getting The Code at 40/1 to win last year was my luck used up for a while probably :lol:

That was the first guest judge tea we had during filming iirc and even then I felt like if was an odd choice and had missed the buck a bit in terms of her being relevant. She was such a flash in the pan but it feels like some producer just went “who do the kids love nowadays?” And grabbed her out of thin air

It seems to be a UK5 type situation, she was disqualified after the talent show premiere so they will just edit her out and pretend she wasn’t even on I assume.

Thank god we didn’t elect Reform in our Mayor election. I work very near a Reform bait housing estate where a LOT my regulars are thick enough to be drawn in. Someone I used to work with genuinely thought that she was voting for Nigel Farage to be Prime Minister, which says it all about the average Reform voter.

Johnny and Felix could not have any less chemistry, classic “oh well let’s just throw the two gays together” Also Harry is great and him with both Kojo and Gina is genius, I love Kojo and Gina has really come into her own I feel.

I’m conflicted but sadly have to agree this is just… not really it. I’ve cherrypicked a couple of good songs (I Do and I Don’t Care , Lies, and Cheers To Me I think are a great balance of her old sound/spark and this record’s direction), and the singles do make more sense in the context of the album, but the whole thing just isn’t what I want from her. As I think I’ve said already in this thread, she was sonically so compelling, doing whatever she wanted, and you got the sense that she could have done anything, gone even more left field in this era. But here she is with essentially a Heart FM playlist?! And it’s all written and performed impeccably for what it is, she clearly is an excellent pop writer and knows exactly what strikes but it’s just not what I want from her, it’s not what I want from anyone I wouldn’t have even minded if she went more theatrical and musical vibes, I loved her turn in Cabaret, but anyone could have released most of this album. It won’t even win her any new fans, and it will most likely alienate a lot of people who enjoyed her prior albums. But I just need to know why every other song needs the same strings and the same X Factor winner’s single choir.

Nadine Mulkerrin and Anna Passey both deserve better than being a plot device for the entire show to centre around Jez being a serial killer… As much as they both smash whatever they’re given, it would almost be more interesting for them to be happy than suffering yet again. I really don’t see what Jez adds to the show at all. I am also sick of this trafficking storyline now. Well I’m not, it’s been good, but I hate this Hollyoaks trope of something almost coming out but they want to prolong it so they delay it at the last minute by an accident happening or something (see Cleo being ran over at Abe and Peri’s wedding, and now Donny when he cornered Banks). If they want to keep an SL going, just keep it going

It’s lowkey so funny that they were scrambling for numbers that they went “oh f*** it Ginger will do it AGAIN” But if they didn’t even call her first in that case I do wonder why they’d set up a season for her, and she is just really good at Drag Race so idk that it is like a totally fixed for her situation at all. I struggle to see any of the cast beating Ginger at It’s Raining Men though so it’s hard to not be sceptical. And for me knowing that this cast is a lot of first timers, why would you cast a two time finalist who is such a strong competitor and will steam roll most queens, like that’s just a finale slot sewn up already.

The abysmal Raise Your Glass AND Bosco loses to Ginger?! 😩 I can’t see how Jorgeous beats Aja to that song either but we shall see. Ginger 10000% wins It’s Raining Men, when it was wrongly said to be Confident by Demi Lovato I could see it being Jorgeous, but I just don’t see her doing it to a campy post-disco song.

Jack’s alright I did enjoy him but now it’s happened I am disappointed for Danny. It would have meant a lot to him as a fan of the show for one. I don’t think Jack would have won if he wasn’t who he is with the same personality, the Corrie fans go a long way. I had a feeling he’d win just because Colson came third with a more muted personality and he’s a much smaller character.
