Yeah me too, I hope it’s not just like say 6 or 7 US queens who’d normally do All Stars, a couple of UK queens and one singular non Ru queen :lol:

 

There’s a few from season 12-14 who I’d like to see but the pool of All Stars is running low rn so it’s a great idea to have a global format, if they rep everyone equally (and there’s definitely at least 1 from every format who could) and make it almost like an Olympics type thing where it’s truly global. I think that’s another problem with VtW, it’s basically just Canada/UK/US with the odd one or two queens from outside. Being on Paramount+ and hosted by Ru, it will be a bugger budget for one but also a bigger cast so there can be more representation and a bigger platform for non Ru hosted girls/girls who were on a non-English season.

Looks like Vs The World is going to be replaced by a new global All Stars format! Good move

Obv depending on some of their English skills, I know Vanda would be fine and Marina would KILL this, like other than Pangina she gives me such winner vibes for this if she was on.

I would have put Rita in the bottom over Ra’jah tbh as I feel like Ra’Jah had some good content and just lost herself a bit whereas Rita I felt had less there and covered that up with a character and being loud. I feel like Victoria will have picked Ra’Jah to go too so thank god this was a non elim.

 

Silky killed this, I was screaming!! Overall not a great standup challenge but Victoria was very funny too, so a clear top 2.

 

I’m glad Icesis left on her own terms, spoilers seemed to think that she either got Pangina’d by Rita (with 2 wins and a high) or that she flopped the challenge and got in her head and left. I’m sad to see her go but she had to put herself first, that’s so important.

Nobody Gets Me is incredible, I get the feeling that’s going to be HUGE! Great album, she had so much to live up from CTRL.

I feel like the finalist wins will be equal too as it seems like Rita and Ra’Jah win next week, so 2 wins and 1 bottom for each finalist, which seems like a really satisfying ending to the season when you compare it to UKvTW with them all kinda flopping and making the final :lol:

Yeah I agree, that’s what’s bizarre, I find her inoffensive at worst too and it is baffling that people have such a reaction to… nothing almost as if they have to have beef with a season because there’s no other drama :lol: It’s weird I’m not seeing many people say like us that she’s just there it’s either visceral hatred for the fish saga or loving her, neither of which I get really.

I completely get why she wasn’t in the top for Bonjour Hi as everyone bar the bottom 3 (and Anita wasn’t bad by any means) did really well, but this week I’m completely baffled. She was by far and away the best across all 3 categories and I thought her constructed look was by miles the best one there and usually they seem to weight that more in a Ball. It almost feels like either they don’t want her to run away with it or they wanted everyone to have a win (and pretty much equal track records with only Rita having a bottom)? I do think Victoria and Silky did really well, so I don’t begrudge either of them being top 2, but both over Icesis is insane to me. Thinking about it Icesis actually had my favourite look for all 3 categories, in a fashion forward way that you’d only really get from Icesis.

 

I kind of agree about Victoria too, I do like her but I’m not entirely sure there’s that oomph and spark there, at least I’ve not really seen it yet. She’s good at what she does, she does it well, but I agree it might have been a mistake to do this rather than UK4. You’ve got the likes of Icesis, Ra’Jah and Silky who are big characters and huge competitors, and she isn’t fully out of her shell or up there yet for me, I think she could be though. I guess she has a lot of pressure being the only rep for AFAB drag queens, and that feels like it’s keeping her down a bit.

 

As an aside the reaction to her whole fish saga from last episode is disgusting low-key, like she calmly asked a cis male drag queen about it and explained why it might be offensive and white gays are harping on about her silencing black trans women, acting like she went into the New York ballroom scene and murdered them all for saying it. I think it shows the intolerance of our community sadly. Hollow Eve from Dragula had a similar discussion on her season but she was much more aggressive with it and kinda nasty, but Victoria had a small, calm conversation a week ago and people seem to still be jumping on it!

Icesis was robbed BLIND of winning this ball, like… what on earth. I’d have put her over Silky tbh, I think Victoria’s first two looks were strong enough for her to be in the top, even though her first let her down, Silky was strong across all 3 but didn’t have the high highs of Victoria’s first two looks.

Yeah the source with all the drama was wrong, next week they said Ra’Jah offered to make Anita’s outfit for the design part of the ball and she rejected it “nastily” which would have been so iconic LMFAOOO

I think Victoria and Silky easy could have been in the bottom, Anita at least tried but it wasn’t funny to me. Silky and Victoria basically played themselves, Victoria just had a few Kim phrases. I do think Stephanie deserved bottom, Cardi B is always going to be an iffy character because it’s so easy to rely on the same few catchphrases and it buries the actual character and having any nuance. It was definitely her time to go I feel too, truthfully she was an odd casting to put among such strong international competitors especially as Vs The World is more comedy focused.

 

Icesis was definitely the best, that was yet another meh Snatch Game as I think only her and Ra’Jah were really good, but Vanity was good ish too we just didn’t see enough. An Icesis and Ra’Jah lipsync is everything I wanted *.*

Tinkaton is my true fave, she’s been my MVP since about the 4th gym now and slain the whole time, finished the main story now!! She’s absolutely c**t and I stan it, I think she’s in probably my top 5 ever now. The lower than expected base Attack worried me when everything leaked, but the typing is killer and she’s come in clutch a lot. Competitive wise she’s a great special tank and stallbreaker with Tera Blast Electric for the likes of Toxapex and her sworn nemesis Corviknight :lol: Given her Pokédex entry there’s something satisfying about finishing a Corviknight who’d otherwise wall her without an Electric or Fire Tera.

 

Final team was Tinkaton, Maushold, Farigiraf and the three starters. Fairly tough endgame and I think now I’ve finished, I’d say overall this is the best and most engaging story Pokémon has ever done, and that’s mainly down to the strength of characters and the relationships between them and you, it actually feels like the interactions and adventures meant something, except I have zero time for

. Even when things were obviously headed a certain way, it felt satisfying to reach them, and I genuinely enjoyed all of the three paths in different ways.

I’ve now got the other 2 starters from my friend *.* Kinda wanna grind them up for my Champion team but I like what I have.

 

Also I would DIE for Maushold, I think it’s my gen 9 fave :lol:

I totally agree about the map! Sometimes I’ve kind of just cheesed and managed to jump somewhere or glide down towards where I need to be :lol: But that’s part of the fun so it’s not totally a negative, I agree that it’s actually a fun kind of frustration having to actually figure things out, Pokemon has held our hands far too much since almost forever so this is actually refreshing. I used a guide for the order of stuff since I didn’t want to be overleveled for anything, I put a soft level cap on myself which has helped me enjoy the challenge, along with the game being a bit tougher anyway by design.

I’ve done loads today, now only one each of the gyms, bases and Titans left!! Ended up adding Palafin to my team so I have a water type, the Hero form is a beast but I had to get my friend to join co-op for it to evolve, they’ve got some really silly methods in this game :lol:

 

I agree about the story and difficulty too, I’m finding the gyms super easy but there was one Nemona battle where she ran me close which I didn’t expect and a couple of the Star bases have been challenging due to their Revravoom bosses. I like that this story is just basically you being a kid, having a fun adventure, it is amusing that on your second day of school you just sod off to have an adventure though :lol: I haven’t gone back and done any classes although it keeps flashing up that new ones are available.

 

The characters are stronger too I feel, all the gym leaders feel like distinct fleshed out people and I’m actually invested in Nemona and Arven as rivals/friends, they feel believable and more fleshed out than say Hau or Hop. I quite like the gym tasks as an idea but a lot of them are either just forgettable/pointless or kind of annoying at best.

 

When the game is this fun, I don’t care about any of the graphical blips, particularly when it’s nothing game breaking. Although picnic breeding is kind of infuriating, the egg powers help (I’ll have to get higher level ones) but I despise the fact you have to just stand there waiting whereas before with the daycare you could go and do something else in the game while waiting, which was especially great with the Wild Area in SwSh. They’ve got the base foundations down and made a game that’s more fun than Pokémon has been in absolutely YEARS which I’m thrilled with. A lot of stuff that was kind of off in SwSh (bland characters, long tedious raids, lack of story) they’ve really improved on, the Raids are much more fun being faster paced.

 

Level scaling is the main issue for me, I think it would be cool if you really could do the game in any order and it all scaled accordingly. I worry there won’t be much replay value as there’s a lot of doing the tasks and kind of pushing you through the story, which is great when getting to know gym leaders and has fleshed out the world a lot more, but when I do my Scarlet play through as a Nuzlocke (I usually do on my second version), I feel like that might be tedious when it’s something you’ve just gone through. With level scaling you could get essentially a different game each time as teams would be slightly different etc, but the base idea of these different paths and variety of gameplay is something they’ve really nailed.

Silky had the best verse for me I’d say but she seemed to lose the words and choreo a bit, if not for that she’d be top 2 for me! As it was so close with lots of them doing well, that was enough to bring her down to safe for me. I agree about her personality too, I think it’s kind of a perfect storm where she’s really found herself but I’m still team Ra’Jah (and Icesis), she’s one of those queens where it’s gonna feel wrong if she doesn’t get a crown, it depends on how the season goes though I guess. I could easily change my mind but I’m actually really looking forward to seeing more from pretty much everyone left.

Rita Baga being pushed to high heavens again… I actually like her, she’s great by herself but it puts me off when she is subject to constant favouritism. Ra’Jah, Silky, Icesis and Victoria easily deserved top 2 over her. She wasn’t bad by any means, but a solid safe.

I actually think Kendall could have been swapped with Anita, but her runway showed no growth and I do think Anita has more to give than Kendall.

 

Overall a much more fun vibe than UKvTW imo and it seems like a lot of them are bringing their A game rather than just kind of farting out whatever like the UK.

Also have Naclstac (Salt Cure is great, it was such an MVP) and Pawmo in the back, the latter was being annoying evolving and I had physical attackers I wanted to use more so I needed a special electric type and Kilowattrel replaced him. Don’t usually like doubling types but I love the fact we finally have a Fire/Grass and there isn’t a better Fire type I want to use rn so Scovillain is cool for now.

This kinda runs ROUGH, I haven’t had any major issues but there’s a lot of little pop in errors, weirdly animated NPCs etc… It’s worst when you’re running or on Miraidon and an NPC is moving :lol: Fun so far but that is a glaring issue, even if it’s not like a huge game breaking thing, it happens in lots of little waves and it is bothering me a tad.

 

And that’s both in docked and handheld, I’d say it’s abetter and less frequent in handheld mode though.

I thought Jonbers was funnier in the roast, but Christ that was a bit of a slog :lol: Jonbers went in the makeover for me but I dread to think of this roast without her and only Danny being funny, as I’m not sure Dakota would have really fared too well.
