Thank god we didn’t elect Reform in our Mayor election. I work very near a Reform bait housing estate where a LOT my regulars are thick enough to be drawn in. Someone I used to work with genuinely thought that she was voting for Nigel Farage to be Prime Minister, which says it all about the average Reform voter.

Johnny and Felix could not have any less chemistry, classic “oh well let’s just throw the two gays together” Also Harry is great and him with both Kojo and Gina is genius, I love Kojo and Gina has really come into her own I feel.

I’m conflicted but sadly have to agree this is just… not really it. I’ve cherrypicked a couple of good songs (I Do and I Don’t Care , Lies, and Cheers To Me I think are a great balance of her old sound/spark and this record’s direction), and the singles do make more sense in the context of the album, but the whole thing just isn’t what I want from her. As I think I’ve said already in this thread, she was sonically so compelling, doing whatever she wanted, and you got the sense that she could have done anything, gone even more left field in this era. But here she is with essentially a Heart FM playlist?! And it’s all written and performed impeccably for what it is, she clearly is an excellent pop writer and knows exactly what strikes but it’s just not what I want from her, it’s not what I want from anyone I wouldn’t have even minded if she went more theatrical and musical vibes, I loved her turn in Cabaret, but anyone could have released most of this album. It won’t even win her any new fans, and it will most likely alienate a lot of people who enjoyed her prior albums. But I just need to know why every other song needs the same strings and the same X Factor winner’s single choir.

Nadine Mulkerrin and Anna Passey both deserve better than being a plot device for the entire show to centre around Jez being a serial killer… As much as they both smash whatever they’re given, it would almost be more interesting for them to be happy than suffering yet again. I really don’t see what Jez adds to the show at all. I am also sick of this trafficking storyline now. Well I’m not, it’s been good, but I hate this Hollyoaks trope of something almost coming out but they want to prolong it so they delay it at the last minute by an accident happening or something (see Cleo being ran over at Abe and Peri’s wedding, and now Donny when he cornered Banks). If they want to keep an SL going, just keep it going

It’s lowkey so funny that they were scrambling for numbers that they went “oh f*** it Ginger will do it AGAIN” But if they didn’t even call her first in that case I do wonder why they’d set up a season for her, and she is just really good at Drag Race so idk that it is like a totally fixed for her situation at all. I struggle to see any of the cast beating Ginger at It’s Raining Men though so it’s hard to not be sceptical. And for me knowing that this cast is a lot of first timers, why would you cast a two time finalist who is such a strong competitor and will steam roll most queens, like that’s just a finale slot sewn up already.

The abysmal Raise Your Glass AND Bosco loses to Ginger?! 😩 I can’t see how Jorgeous beats Aja to that song either but we shall see. Ginger 10000% wins It’s Raining Men, when it was wrongly said to be Confident by Demi Lovato I could see it being Jorgeous, but I just don’t see her doing it to a campy post-disco song.

Jack’s alright I did enjoy him but now it’s happened I am disappointed for Danny. It would have meant a lot to him as a fan of the show for one. I don’t think Jack would have won if he wasn’t who he is with the same personality, the Corrie fans go a long way. I had a feeling he’d win just because Colson came third with a more muted personality and he’s a much smaller character.

Mistress does Natalie Nunn for Snatch Game, only her and Cynthia (Dracula lol) bomb, Lydia and Aja get decent critiques despite being low. Mistress is so confident that she did well she doesn’t even bother to learn the words to the lipsync but Cynthia is just so bad at it Mistress wins anyway. This source also backs up that Mistress completely flops both merge episodes, and says she also has fights in both episodes in both the workroom and Untucked. Denali is also furious when Ginger beats her in the lipsync for the girl groups episode and storms off stage which Ru notes is unsportsmanlike, which kind of sounds fake lol but it would explain why they didn’t choose Denali to come back like everyone expected.

The Wicked themed episode actually has Defying Gravity as a lipsync and it’s the original not Cynthia and Ari, but Daya still wins! That could be a lipsync for the ages I fear

I think Gigi is borderline at a point where she’s “above” coming back, I just don’t see why she would with all the opportunities she has and such a strong run the first time around as well. Season 12 is a really weird one, it’s a shame they had a “weird” season the way they did with no proper finale and Covid stopping them touring etc, but other than the ones who have been back, I don’t think I’d necessarily be that bothered by any of them coming back bar maybe Crystal but I think the fans overrate her. Jackie Cox I do like but I think she’d be an early out. Gigi (moreso a couple of years ago), Rock and Aiden (both AS8 and AS10 iirc) I have seen rumoured or speculated but you don’t even really see the S12 girls come up in the casting rumours stages of All Stars funnily enough. I think Jan is most likely to come back actually, I don’t mean this in a shady way but I could see her on UKvTW or CanadavTW as the US rep. Like she’s strong enough to do okay but not so strong she’d steamroll and be another RuGirl winner

Happy she’s back: Aja, Bosco, Daya, Jorgeous (idc), Lydia, Mistress, Nicole Why: Kerri, Alyssa, Cynthia, lowkey Liv Lux oop My heart says Aja to win but I’d be happy with any of the ones I listed first. Bosco and Mistress both feel so AS winner coded but Aja coming back after all this time when she was robbed blind on AS3 just feels like the right timing.

I think 4 times has to be the limit for anyone but it depends, 2 or 3 can be enough. For me it depends if they’ve “peaked” or had a satisfying conclusion to their Drag Race storyline. Like Cheryl coming back for a 4th time is an example where I think it would make sense after she really had a glow up and was kind of robbed on CanVTW due to the format. And I didn’t really mind Alexis or Jujubee coming back because AS5 was kind of a mess and they had more to give but Ginger had such a good run on AS6 that made up for AS2. There isn’t really a storyline to build on and whilst I do love her and she is excellent at Drag Race, I just don’t see why she is back?

I’m honestly most excited for Aja, I say this like WEEKLY at this point if not more but she should have won AS3 and she’s someone I never expected would come back. For her to come back with the trans glow, finally her true self and her happiest, I cannot wait to see it. Obviously Mistress is a given she had to do All Stars as soon as possible, also can’t wait to see Lydia (initially I was so baffled she even got cast but by the end of her S17 run she proved herself truly), Boaco, Nicole and Daya, and Jorgeous idc, I’d gladly see her do about 7 more seasons and not complain. Some of these are very much choices and it feels like they’re just filling up slots to get to the format they wanted, and this could have been a stellar normal All Stars cast, but with the older lesser known names I think it’s just great to even see them again and we don’t know what they’ll bring with 15 years under their belt in some cases. Honestly it’s Kerri I think they are SCRAPING with, no shade but they could barely do anything on their own season let alone All Stars.

I am loving it being quite wide open, I’m still fairly sure Jack will win but it is great to see a season where there are a couple of valid options to win since all the BB seasons thus far on ITV have been pretty clear cut by the end. Want: 01 Danny 02 Jack 03 Jojo 04 Donna 05 Chris 06 Chesney Think: 01 Jack 02 Donna 03 Danny 04 Jojo 05 Chris 06 Chesney I genuinely think 2-5 could go any way at this point, can’t see jack not being top 2 at least even if he doesn’t win.

Danny to win for me now, but I’d be fine with Jack. Danny has been totally himself I feel, for better or worse, after a bit of a shaky start, and Jack isn’t the most exciting but he’s been himself too and is quietly very darkly funny, I do kind of wish we saw more of him over the series. Donna would be fine but I think she’s been a bit more one dimensional and I can’t see her having the momentum to win. Jojo and Chris I do like but I have gone off of them over the season, it’s not their fault they were shown so much I guess. Chesney: Hawkes.
