  1. Video should help BTW this week, but I reckon #1 the week after is more likely.
  2. Just gauging *current* predictions. In America, they are already discussing if it could sell 1M in the US first week.
  3. I just wanted to gauge current interest :P
  4. I think #1 with 150-200k... If Judas is huge, more than 200k isn't impossible, though.

I decided to factor in different aspects of musical interest, including the purchase of the song, plays on iTunes, video watches and, of course, personal rating. This week, Lady GaGa comes straight in at #1 with 'Born This Way' with an enormous points total of 475. This passes the platinum mark (450pts) in a single week. GaGa's total skyrocketed with 225 iTunes plays. At #2 is Ke$ha's 'We R Who We R', which a points total that would secure #1 on any other normal week. Ellie Goulding's 'Your Song', Diddy - Dirty Money's 'Coming Home' and Lady GaGa's 'Bad Romance' round off the Top 5. Rihanna's S&M enters at #6 with 38pts, despite only having 1 day on the chart. Expect this to challenge for #1 next week. The points total of 'Born This Way' has resulted in a number of joint chart positions in the Top 20. As this is the first chart, there are no climbs or falls to report and the rest is fairly self-explanatory. #1 SINGLES 18.2.2011 Lady GaGa - Born This Way - 475pts (i)
  7. I'm not saying it isn't, I'm just saying that the reason people buy the songs is because they like what they hear. Manufactured or not, they enjoy the song.
  8. Well maybe they like the sound of the voice they hear!!

I thought Jessie J's album was being released on the 25th... As in next Friday...
  10. No, because YT view =/= success. Despite the promo Adele has done, RITD is #10 on US iTunes. Katy Perry hasn't promoted ET at all and yet it is at #4. People buy music if the song is good. Who cares if they can't sing live?? It doesn't mean people won't like the sound of their voice.

    I think Adele for both.
  12. Ooooh... I don't see it with this single. Probably her next single will go top 10, but I can't see sales and airplay aligning for RITD.
  13. I can see her making top 40 perhaps. Remember she has hardly any airplay. Colbie Caillat was #1 on iTunes all of last with with 'I Do' and only got to #23 on the BBHot100 because of lack of airplay.
  14. This. (For every Rihanna song before Rude Boy, just got back into her with S&M). For Lady GaGa for me though. :) Disagree. I don't think Adele will win big at the Grammys. Brits?? Yes. Adele is brilliant. But I think she'll be nominated in Pop Vocal categories rather than in Big Four categories.
  15. Yup, 1M sales in 5 days :smoke:
  16. :smoke: GaGa's lead... :smoke:
  17. Only #18?? Or does this chart work in a different way...??
  18. Sales 1,000 Sales = 1 point on the BBHot100 For example, Lady GaGa's 448,000 sales for Born This Way was worth 448 points. Airplay 1,000,000 Audience Impressions = 1 point on the BBHot100 For example, Lady GaGa's 84,000,000 AI for Born This Way was worth 84 points. Streaming The actual weighting of streaming is unknown. It is known that youtube videos do not count towards the BBHot100, but there are others that do, such as Perez Hilton's website. Streaming has never really been officially defined in terms of points, but there have been occasions where one song has had higher points on sales and airplay than another but was pipped by streaming. OVERALL Sales Points + Airplay Points (+ Streaming Points) = Final Point Tally For example, for Lady GaGa's Born This Way; 448 + 84 (+ Unknown Streaming) = 532 points (approximately)
  19. Quality is opinion. In my opinion GaGa is quality.
  20. In terms of success at the minute... GaGa >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Everyone else
  21. Disturbia = AAAMMMAAAZZZIIINNNGGG Rihanna's best and my favourite of hers :)
  22. Das freut mich :) When will the chart including Lady GaGa be released?? Should she be #1??

How about, I love BTW and HATE PT. In my opinion it is a ridiculous piece of s**t and didn't deserve #1 in the first place?? BTW does, in my opinion, so I want it to be #1.
  24. She won three: Pop Vocal Performance (BR) Pop Vocal Album (TFM) Best Short Form Music Video (BR)
  25. Yes, hahaa.
