  1. It's good elisabeth although I would say in part one I didn't learn anything new and Lisa said the same. Just further explanation of what we (as fans) know already but I guess Joe Public won't.
  2. Basically there is barely any new film -it's RW watching old film in chronological order and giving his thoughts on it. There was a fair bit on TT and their fans at the timr, then a lot on Guy and writing the first two albums (Guy comes across as lovely ) some on Nicole Appleton and Rob is commenting on it. The only new film in part 1 is RW at his house explaining his sleep patterns
  3. Ha yes! It was great there today -only 50 people let in for each screening and we were number 49 and 50! We were given a free poster :cheer: lanyard, T shirt and pop corn  I won't give anything away except to say part one was very frank and honest. I'm looking forward to parts three because that deals with the whole Rudebox debacle and 2006 Close Encounters tour and part four that deals with where he is now with Ayda and the kids. Teddy was in part one today and came across as a very grounded, sensible little girl. Once we had seen part one we went out into the foyer and there were lots of amazing photos, TV screens, mirrors and great photo opportunities. We spent a good couple of hours there and caught up with a couple of fans we knew -so it was a really good morning .
  4. Alas -I think the spray tan had more to do with tonight's preview in Covent Garden than standing about in Storm Ciaran tomorrow
  5. I'm about 30 minutes into part one -it's interesting hearing about how they all got into TT and meeting on the first day etc and how they came to be noticed by NMS individually. Unfortunately, although there's been quite a lot of Jason chat, barely a word on RW. If there's a snippet in the future -I'll share ^_^
  6. has he Tess? My friend told me only 50 people are allowed in to watch the documentary at one time so we could spend a lot of time standing about in the rain.
  7. I just subscribed to it today so going to listen to part one tomorrow
  8. Without any spoilers for Tess The two things that struck me from that very interesting Caitlin Moran article were 1. It confirmed what we all suspected about that Leeds gig in 2006. I remember I had just joined RWAP and the ladies on there were very upset with how exhausted he looked at that gig 2. That's the first time in all these years I've seen him quote his weight and whether it's wise for someone with an addictive personality to be anywhere near those weight loss medications.
  9. Yes -we're going on the Thursday Tess
  10. I saw one from FB today from The Times. but I don't know how to post the unrestricted version from FB. It was well written by Caitlin Moran and an interesting read.
  11. I wonder if they'll have any spare posters.... ;)
  12. https://www.music-news.com/news/UK/165572/R...mMywyEC634JV5w0 Ooh this is exciting! Hopefully I shall be going. Anyone else?
  13. I can't imagine it would be an easy watch for Ayda.....
  14. Sounds intriguing although I think we all know it's going to be dead honest. It's going to be fascinating but I do wonder how Joe Public will take his honesty? I wonder if they'll "get" him ?

I don't know much about boy bands generally but on the wider subject - I think the fact that TT had already come back and been so successful as a four piece definitely helped for when RW re-joined. They achieved so much as a four piece and acquired a whole new set of fans that were only interested in them as a four. Also I think the constant disagreements between fans of them as a four, as a five and also Robbie fans who weren't interested in a reunion at all -definitely helped in generating interest/publicity/sales. It was never ending. Also even between the years 1995-2004 when TT weren't about -Robbie was always singing about/referencing them in interviews so they were never far away. Plus of course the fairy tale ending and joy between them for Progress was perfect Was there bad blood between JT and the rest of the band in the intervening years? Maybe their story didn't include all the drama/heartache/redemption of the whole TT thing. It was the perfect storyline.
  16. Brilliant analysis - especially Lovelight B-)
