Mine arrived today :cheer: On the movie tonight -I really enjoyed the movie version of Rock DJ - it's great. I think they could have squeezed in a few more of Robbie's songs in the film though. Fancy missing out No Regrets? It's pivotal isn't it? :blink: and Strong - the lyrics to both those songs are telling exactly the same story as the movie. I would have thought they would be obvious choices.

Yes - they did include Germany Tess. ^_^ I'm sure in the UK it won't be around much longer which is a shame because it is making slow but steady numbers each day around the world

Went to see it again tonight with my daughters. ^_^ They both really enjoyed it but were a bit irked by the timeline jumping about. They kept asking me "did that really happen? Did this really happen?" :lol: My favourite scene is Knebworth. Both to enjoy in awe the size of the crowd and the surreal moment where he slays his demons. Both the Rock DJ and She's the one scenes are amazing too. Also the girls thought the movie should have included his meeting Ayda -which I do agree with to a certain extent. Glad I saw it again. :cheer:

I'm going to see it next Tuesday with both my daughters.. they obviously grew up with my Robbie fandom and I know they're going to enjoy the film :) I was talking to both my son-in-laws about the film last night and while they didn't want to go see it they were aware of its fantastic reviews (but interestingly, not it's box office failure).

"This shit slaps" I must try and see if I can get that into my conversation tomorrow :lol: :lol: :lol:

I think I can answer that - because - you are a global superstar to your fans and you only need a few hundred thousand fans to buy tickets across a lot of countries to make a successful sold out tour and to make an album number one in the charts. It doesn't mean the rest of the population thinks anything of you - especially 35 years into a career. Movies need the general public to buy into it - not just fans. I guess his facts and figures which we as fans all know over the years, speak for themselves as to why he is a global superstar. I certainly wouldn't go on a US site and defend him -I love him as a man and his music. I don't need anybody else to agree with me. The movie is brilliant -I'm going a second time next week with my daughter (if it's still on and I know she will love it). I really, really hope it wins some award for the technical wizardry as it's so brilliant. Anyone who doesn't give it a fair chance just to see if it's any good, is ignorant in my book. I've seen so many posts from people who went to it on a whim and came out loving the movie. We just need a few more of them.

I had no idea there had been so many biopics :wacko: I saw the Amy Winehouse one a couple of months ago. That got had reviews but I really enjoyed it. Other than Bohemian Rhapsody and Rocketman , I haven't seen any of the others. I would have liked to have seen the John Lennon one
