Yeh, Cheryl had a massive number one just a year ago so its not like the fanbase has disappeared yet. If GA release any new material next year, I would be very surprised if it didnt go #1.

I think he's crap and the fact only his songs with Rihanna or another big name artist do well shows the general public dont care at all.

Im sure a few do but a lot of those shows are very very niche. I have to say that the tyes of music on those shows doesnt interest me at all but Kissy Sell Out's mixes are pretty exceptional.

As Shadow209 says, The Saturdays are well known faces and names. As long as they keep relevant and keep their faces in the papers then they are getting enough promotion to sell records. Everyone knows they arent massive sellers but they dont do badly and as long as singles sales keep up and tours sell enough tickets then they will be around.

I hope you give her the CD before Christmas, listenting to Christmas music after 24th December is just horrid!

To add some context, Xtra Factor was low because it was against Im A Celeb. Two weeks ago Xtra Factor had 1m. The only time the show ever got that much past 1m with Holly was during the final. But I agree that Olly shouldnt be presenting and Holly is far better than him and Caroline (and hotter!).

Rock songs are a better choice to compete against X Factor as generally fans of music like Nirvana are much more against X Factor and will actively try to damage X Factor than the type of people who like classic Christmas hits. Personally, I would prefer a nice festive classic like Slade, Wizzard or The Pogues to be campaigned for but not overly fussed.

Legacy? She just records any song the record company wants and then promotes it. Shes not particularly talented but for some reason has a huge fanbase. The only thing I will give her credit for is her work rate as she never seems to stop.

Glee is only getting about 500,000 watching on Sky1 compared to the 1.5/2m on Mondays on E4 so no surprise they aren't setting charts alight now.
