The reason why this contest is no longer on ITV or has any credibility is because fans just voted for the artist not the year. You cannot have a contest like this because its just a popularity contest and has nothing to do with the song.

All very true and it can also keep artists in pretty decent money if they release a song that sells tens of thousands of copies every year in the run up to Christmas. Not bad for some artists who havent released anything for decades!

Im sorry but this forum does nothing but adhere to sterotypes. I dont know who is gay or not, dont really care, but I guess a large percentage are gay. This forum is not representative of music at all, it supports mainly female artists like Lady Gaga, Cheryl Cole, Rihanna, Alexandra Burke Katy Perry etc. Popular male acts in the music industry are not well supported like Take That, JLS, Westlife, McFly, Taio Cruz, Tinie Tempah etc. All I can presume is that female acts are more popular is due to the high amount of gay men/teens on here.

I think this dispells the myth that they are just a front-loaded boyband.

Fantastic song. Its gone from mid 50s to 28 in the last 12 hours. Im guessing it was played on the F1 Season Review show yesterday.

I cant decide if I like Duffy's new track or hate it. I dont think it will do well either way, im guessing top 20 at best. She should have waited until January as this will slip under the radar.

McFly are a decent pop band who make good, catchy songs. I think a lot of distain towards them is because they are a male, pop group with lots of teen fans. Thats not really allowed round here.

He is also allowed an opnion on her live performance too. A performance I thought was lacking in any conviction and was quite frankly dull.
