I remember a group did a remix of the Only Fools theme on the CBBC show Smile a few years ago.

Havent heard of Kristian Lentiou for a long time. Loved that song he did, Story of My Life.

Well thats my point. Gaga's first album tracks mostly sounded unique to her and different to anything around. BTW and Judas have blatantly sounded like she's trying to copy/emulate Madonna, shes even called the track Judas because of Madonna's Just Like A Prayer controversy. Add to that Born This Way has elements that sound very like Utah Saints and the chorus of Judas is very weak and sounds like an average Eurovision song. Perhaps you and others follow Gaga's career much more closely than me and are better placed to answer, but I heard about the same amount of hype for both singles and then when they were both released the similar buzz occured around the net.

Judas seemed to have the same amount of mass publicity as Born This Way. IMO the song just isnt that brilliant, its not bad just sounds quite generic. Gaga's Fame/Fame Monster releases all sounded very unique to her but these last two singles have sounded as though they are just a mish-mash of a lot of other songs out there.

Not surprised Judas is doing well but it just sounds like a very ordinary Eurovision song, especially the chorus.

A very nice song actually. Deserves top 40.

I dont think The Wanted were playlisted for their debut track. Arctic Monkeys maybe?

That Retro list is far better than today's mainly poor tracks. So many memorable hits from 2001 that are still pretty well known today. Cant imagine too many on the playlist this week will be remembered in a year let alone 10.

You do know that The Wanted performed in front of 10m tonight and Nicole will perform in front of 500,000 tomorrow?

What has been the peak number for Parade? They are number 5 in the midweeks but dont think they have got higher than 10 on iTunes.

Not everyone follows the thread religiously so wont know that.

I think Nicole will tail off like she did with Poison and The Wanted will get the top spot especially after their Comic Relief performance. Im just glad we finally have some new songs in the top 5.

I agree that the big names like Christina and Britney seem to think that simply recording a song and just releasing it to radio will make it successful. You can have the best track ever made but if no one hears it then no one will buy it.

Hope the new Britney song does very well, it is probably my song of the year so far. And damn she looks hot on the promo cover.

Joe vs Rage was a huge battle, it was all over the news and the internet and not just all over Buzzjack like some chart battles :P .
