Im expecting it to be pretty close between the two then the inevtibale huge increase after X Factor. I would love to see how she would do without an X Factor performance for a single that hasnt been released yet. Im guessing not that brilliantly.

Not entirely true. The media keep her in the public eye so her fanbase dont forget about her. The only reason she is so well known is down to being watched by 15m people each week on X Factor. Before she was a judge on there, her popularity/reputation was not even a fifth of what it is now. She was just a member of a quite successful girl group before. If she stopped being a judge on X Factor she would soon lose her current level of celebrity. To make this anything to do with Itunes, surprised to see Rihanna on top.

I think most people do have soem sympathy for that. However, my gripe is how much the media think the sun shines out of her arse. They make her out to be some sort of wonder woman when yet shes just a good looking, average singer. Her success has been down to the amount of publicity she gets, not down to talent.

Having a new number one every week devalues the concept of a number one. Plus, you end up with very forgettable and average songs getting undeserved acclaim.

Yeh its ridiculous especially when they say it doesnt matter because she has great stage presence or looks great. Its about singing!

Whoever voted for Kary Perry needs their ears testing.

Not surprised at her bad vocals just surprised at people trying to say she sang well. Thats all that counts when your trying to sell records.

Diana has flopped regardless of the lack of promotion. Her X Factor performance will give her a decent boost but if Joe couldnt make the most of it last week then there is little hope for Diana.

Back to the chart, I think Joe needs the X Factor slot to have a number one, without it I dont think he would get there. Im guessing Joe is front-loaded quite a bit where as Duck Sauce is the sort of song that will steadily climb the chart, a bit like Yolanda Be Cool.

Should we all ignore the comment about a song not getting to number one being worse then thousands of people dying in a terrorist attack? By just ignoring the comment makes the mods on here seem like they are condoning it.

What a horrible thing to say, im sure the 9/11 victim's families would think otherwise. You shouldnt let one fan of artist put you off that artist altogether. Really? You need to get a grip if you think that.
