Great song that matched the film perfectly. Probably one of the most unchristmassy number ones ever. Hopefully it can go top 40 next week.

Between Robbie and Gary and Cee-lo I would expect. The Take That boys should do it easily but I just think Cee-lo will do a lot better than expected.

Really awful performance by Katy. Her voice sounds so weak and quiet, the backup singers totally drowned her out.

Good on you. If only more fans bought music for the song rather than the artist. Its low quality in the eyes of most people I know. The majority of opinions on the song are mainly negative. If you like it thats fine but I think you will be in the minority.

All very interesting and quite a few possibilities. Do your download equations include sites other than itunes? I think it will all come down to how many pre-orders Olly had. For him to get to number 5 after 2 hours must mean he had a huge amount.

Nadine Coyle's single is called Insatiable. About time the Nadine Coyle - tba was updated, I swear that has been in the list for a year.

What Arists Have Flopped This Year?
I dont see how new artists can be said to have flopped. Sky Ferreira, Alex Gardner etc, didnt have huge expectataions or past success to be compared to.

Big Brother gets 2.5m a night. Their audience is also mostly young and probably the most likely to download music. A performance on GMTV or This Morning will be watched by about 1m. Nothing like facts and statistics to make a point. It will all come down to the amount of per-orders Olly had. The fact that he charted so high, so quickly (number 5 within a couple of hours) may give him the advanatge. There's no doubt Katy has outsold him in the last few days but Olly may have had a huge lead already on Sunday.

The only sheep around here are the people who think Katy Perry's song is the best thing ever made. So many fickle people on this forum.

Well done Olly, a very nice song. Makes a change from electro-pop or r+b.
