S Club: Reunion Discussion
Yes! Very surprisingly of course, but she hosted and performed a few songs at a Cabaret show in London (https://muumuse.com/2020/12/rachel-stevens-cabaret-performance-2020.html/, you can see a bit of background and videos here). Unfortunately no Come And Get It songs, which like you said, should have been huuuuge.

Levitating • Fifth Single
I wonder if Dua is still so happy collaborating with DaBaby after reading this https://www.pinknews.co.uk/2021/07/26/dabab...-loud-festival/

Girls Aloud Chart Watch: Spotify / Apple Music / iTunes
You're a hero Jay  Thanks so much! I've always been a bit disappointed with their streaming numbers, as I feel they deserve so much more, especially with some of their biggest hits not hitting a very high mark. And it's a shame quite a few of their songs are spread out between album and single versions. Also quite surprising non-single On The Metro is so high. And justice for No Good Advice! It's also not available over here, so I do wonder if which countries they are available as the streams need to come from somewhere. I've always been surprised about this, seeing as they have uploaded all their b-sides, a bunch of live tracks even but not The Sound Of...

Overload (Metronomy vs Tatyana Remix)
Yes!! Exciting times and absolutely loving the artwork for this one.

Britney's Instagram
What could honestly be wrong with posting a topless picture? She can do whatever she wants to do with her body and it wouldn't make any difference to the case, what could even be damaging about this?

S Club: Reunion Discussion
Absolutely! That's the only thing I really care about to be honest. She did do a few performances at the end of last year, after years and years not doing anything music related, so I am quite curious what that will lead to.

Drag Race España
Very glad Carmen won! It was most of the obvious wins in the shows history (reminded me of Bianca's win), as she has been the strongest since the first episode, but very much deserved. She totally slayed the last lip sync. All in all this has been one of my favourite seasons of all time. Great host, lovely judges, amazing queens (not a single on I disliked) and just such a genuine and positive vibe.

Spice Girls vs. other UK girl groups
They would, and frankly should, have been bigger than the Spice Girls! True icons

Atomic Kitten - Southgate You're the One
Not much; Liz has co-writing credits in three of their singles (See Ya, Someone Like Me and Southgate You're The One) and both her and Jenny has co-writing credits on some of their album tracks, but no of them co-write any of their bigger or more well known songs.

How Do You Think Amy Winehouse’s third album would have done
Not at all! BTB was released in 2006 and she didn't pass away until 2011. In those five years, the album sold millions and millons of copies and already reached an iconic status + all the Brit and Grammy's she won. I think Amy would have been in the Adele category, the UK definitely has a problem with embracing female singers after a successful era, but I think Amy stood out as much as Adele and was in a league of her own. Her third album would have had the most buzz and would have sold incredibly well I imagine and she probably would still be one of the biggest British singers to this day.

Spice Girls vs. other UK girl groups
01. Spice Girls 02. Girls Aloud 03. Sugababes 04. All Saints 05. Atomic Kitten 06. The Saturdays 07. Little Mix 08. Mis Teeq 09. Eternal 10. Solid Harmonie / Honeyz Big, big fan of the first seven groups. Solid Harmonie and Honeyz only have a few songs I know, but those (I Want You To Want Me, I'll Be There For You, Finally Found) are fantastic.

Spice Girls vs. other UK girl groups
Thankfully we are all allowed to have our own opinions, right? And calling a group of women "trash" says a lot more about you than about the people who enjoy their music. I don't think anyone on here would argue that Football.. or that performance is a highlight in their career, it's just a fun one-off that got quite a bit of attention but most fans go back to enjoying their classics like Whole Again, Be With You, The Last Goodbye, It's OK, Eternal Flame, You Are etc.

Spice Girls vs. other UK girl groups
I highly doubt any straight man listens to Atomic Kitten (besides the Football's Coming Home version) The were, and still are, amazing. Whole Again will always be a 10/10.

Spice Girls • General Discussion
Girls Aloud got long breaks from each other? The released a new album every single year between 2003 and 2008; their longest break from each other was probably a month or something

Dannii - Love Fight
AATW was certainly a very bad label for Dannii, as they had no idea how to promote or market her. In general, that label has always been such a weird one considering how they were mostly a dance label but also signed Atomic Kitten's Liz (and then not releasing anything after her debut song hit the top 5...). At the same time, like tommie said, I don't think there were any other real options for her at that time, otherwise I am sure she would have signed to a bigger label. I am at least glad we got some great songs during her AATW time.

Steps - 'What the Future Holds Pt. 2'
I was thinking the exact same thing! Seeing Kylie hit that record was fantastic (and so deserved, obviously) and I want this to happen for Steps as well. I mean, who would have thought when 5, 6, 7, 8 came out, they would be in the running to get #1 albums in four different decades  I am sure neither them or the record label expected anything like this to happen.

All Stars 6 // Episode 6
I am very happy Kylie won and I think it was a deserved win as well, she just showed star quality and embodied Jessica Lange so well. That lip sync was FAB as well, my god, she looks sensational and she WAS Xtina during the Stripped era. Very impressed with her. Ginger and Jan did well as well, although Jan was basically playing herself, so that wasn't much of a challenge. Trinity has, besides Kylie, the strongest runway for me.

Atomic Kitten - Southgate You're the One
Natasha and Liz are still performing as Atomic Kitten and Jenny has her own hotel now in Ibiza. I'm sure those are their incomes at the moment, they obviously get some royalties from streaming and airplay every year, but those can't be that high since they didn't write most of their songs.
-
Lil Nas X - Montero
The song doesn't grab me as much as his previous three releases, but the video is obviously amazing. He is doing such a fantastic and important job with this, whilst it also being very fun and bringing back the big video events we had in the 90's and 00's.

Say Something ● 1st Single
Happy first anniversary  I know this is only a year old, but it already feels like such a Kylie classic.
-
Dannii - Love Fight
I don't think this would have done very well either, not because of the quality (AMAZING song), but everything was working against her at that time. So I don't think anything would have smashed. Still want this on Spotify so badly as well :(

Anne-Marie & Little Mix - Kiss My (Uh-Oh) • July
This is painfully basic. I have no idea who Anne-Marie is, so I didn't know what to expect, but this is so disappointing compared the everything the girls have released over the past year. I know it's obviously only a feature and not their song, but I was still expecting more.
-
Lorde - Solar Power
I've been listening non-stop to Stoned.. and I honestly think it's my favourite song of the year so far. Utterly divine!

Lorde - Solar Power
Stoned.. is absolutely gorgeous

Spice Girls • Spotify Stats Thread
I think dancingqueen was mostly talking about Spotify playlisting though. Obviously the support Radio 2 has given Mel has been great, for her profile and airplay, but they don't have any effect on streaming. Most songs on their playlist struggle with streaming (just like back in the day, when usually Radio 2 support didn't have any impact on iTunes sales). It's usually albums that benefit more from Radio 2 play.
