  1. Fortunate Son scoring that few points is a big surprise to me
  2. Understood, fair enough. Guess the Goo Goo Dolls are the opposite situation, include a “The” on streaming services but didn’t on the original albums/singles covers
  3. This is extremely pedantic but technically it’s just “Black Eyed Peas” without a “The” Shame that they and Coldplay manages resets but Radiohead didn’t.
  4. New Ed sounds a little bit like “BLOW” from No.6 Collaborations in the verses
  5. But a playlist still gives you the ability to skip songs etc which you can’t do on the radio, so there is an element of choice there
  6. Yes exactly, Despacito is the only example of a regular hit that hit ACR and stayed at #1, although I think Bad Habits was close. There may be other examples of stuff that got close too which I can’t remember, so I’m sure someone will add to that list
  7. Three Lions too
  8. Shame it's not 'Tonight' doing that
  9. Changing the threshold would make sense but the threshold itself is somewhat irrelevant as it is the same for every song. What’s actually important is the pure number in relation to other hits of the era. If you were to compare it to some big hits at the time I’m sure it’s done more sales which you can’t just ignore cos it didn’t chart at the time. If you want to see which songs were the biggest at the time, just look at the year end.
  10. What’s Fleetwood Mac’s best of’s YE peak?

I have no idea, I’ve not been following this thread and the weekly certifications for as long as some others, but it’s usually very prompt to update on Friday. Only time it hasn’t is on Easter Friday (or Christmas/NY falling on a Friday), so I can’t shed any light on it, especially when they posted certifications on Twitter. Someone who’s more familiar with the process may have more ideas tho.

Still no update - very strange
  13. Sir, a second white noise track has hit the Spotify charts
  14. Surely as a society we have surpassed the need for Chris Brown

Ah, right that makes sense - forgot that it would've accumulated a decent number of sales before the remix was released

I'm amazed Homesick is platinum already, that must mean it's done ~150k this year right?
  17. Arm's Length got a boost on Spotify this week cos of Sam's tour, might be enough for it to hold on?
  18. Wouldn’t rule out Another Love either. I think Don’t Stop Me Now is out of the picture now, dropped to #7 on the metal chart this week. Difficult to know how many sales that actually is but I’d guess no more than 6.5k
  19. Not particularly - I have it on 125k. Wasn't really doing significant numbers until the last three weeks
  20. Ah yes, was only looking at the bottom 10 when writing the comment so forgot about 'Who' (and to a lesser extent 'Defying Gravity'). 'Wonderwall' is also very likely to re-enter whenever the Oasis tour starts I'd imagine, my rough current estimate has it on ~180k. I had 'Running Around' in contention to make it in a few weeks, but that seems to have collapsed now, so I think 'Don't Stop Me Now' might return in two weeks by default as you say.
  21. By my calculations, there is now A LOT of stuff tanking at the bottom of the top 100 with very little to replace it. I do think Shake It to the Max makes it next week at the expense of Prada as Julian alluded to last week. Also in trouble soon: Arm's Length Indigo Red Wine Supernova Shut Up and Dance Belong Together Capaldi's reign of terror should continue for a while longer as I think Someone You Loved is doing better than all of the above currently.
  22. Messy survives for one more week! No, it’s about 200k behind Shape of You (which went 11x platinum) this week at #2
  23. Most Days at #1 on UK Spotify #1 Wham! - Last Christmas - 108 Days #2 Drake feat. Wizkid & Kyla - One Dance - 101 Days #3 Dave & Central Cee - Sprinter - 87 Days #3 Alex Warren - Ordinary - 87 Days #5 Tones and I - Dance Monkey - 81 Days #6 Noah Kahan - Stick Season - 78 Days #7 Post Malone feat. 21 Savage - rockstar - 77 Days #8 Mariah Carey - All I Want for Christmas is You - 76 Days #9 Drake - God's Plan - 75 Days #10 Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa - One Kiss - 73 Days Honourary Top 10 excluding Christmas Songs: #11 The Weeknd - Blinding Lights - 70 Days #12 DaBaby feat. 24. Not as good as the Pop Smoke song of the same name
  25. Pretty strong performance from her I thought?
