  1. On Spotify, the new Band Aid is being released in an EP with the 1984, 2004, 2014 and a live performance recording from Live Aid. Clearly trying to encourage the OCC to combine them
  2. Wham! are #1 on Apple Music
  3. Pogues once again losing out on the weekend due to getting shafted in terms of playlist placement. I agree that only three songs from Wicked will be allowed to chart at once.
  4. I was aware that he always does better on Apple, but I didn’t think he’d completely miss out on Spotify. Also no Jack Harlow despite being #1 on NMF
  5. Not a single Wizkid song in the Spotify chart is crazy given how well he’s done on apple

  7. No Kendrick on Apple yet, his highest is already #31 there in the US.
  8. You’re a week out, it went onto ACR W/E 14/12 not 07/12. But that does mean anything that goes onto ACR next week can get a reset, not that any of them are likely to bother the top 40 really.
  9. Absolute carnage coming in tomorrow's update then - Hopefully it can help push out some old stuff.

This was Mr. Brightside's first week below 1 million streams this year, Stick Season is still on course to become the second song to spend a calendar year of weeks over a million streams (after Blinding Lights in 2020).
  11. Great start for Wizkid's new album on Apple: #63 Troubled Mind #73 Bad Girl (feat. Asake) #85 Karamo #91 Kese (Dance) #109 Time #148 Piece of My Heart (feat. Brent Faiyaz) #154 Break Me Down #162 Bend #197 A Million Blessings No other new entries yet.
  12. Snowman by Sia became popular due to TikTok no?
  13. Massive impact for Christmas songs on Spotify with everything doing better than it did on Sunday due to the snow. Will be interesting to see if they retain the momentum or it is just a one day boost. Also lowest daily total for Mr. Brightside since Christmas Day last year, it has been on a constant downwards trajectory for a few months now - if it doesn't rebound heavily post Christmas, its popularity may have peaked.
  14. I hadn't quite clocked that it had done 55k last week, I stand corrected - it has a pretty decent chance.
  15. The only way Band Aid could get #1 would be with a hefty assist from the OCC combining multiple versions (which is possible given it is technically a remix of previous recordings instead of a cover) and then resetting it from ACR.
  16. Although I suspect there will be some carry over Christmas songs into the next week given Wham! (and Sam Ryder) managed to make the first chart of the year this year. Assuming there's only 6 weeks left, That's So True would have to average 50k a week to make the year end, seems a bit of a stretch imo
  17. Unless its a 53 week year, I don't see how That's So True will make it tbh.
  18. That’s a very big boost. Wham! higher than they were on Sunday. Shaky’s ahead of the highest version of Mariah now too
  19. Although very fun this is purely due to a recurrency rule quirk which is blocking Mairah, Brenda and Jingle Bell Rock this week.
  20. Maestro posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
I would assume that the three biggest selling variants in any given week are the three that are included.

Shame Wizzard didn't show up given I think they have better playlisting this year than last.
  22. 3rd December - but last year it got reset on the chart released 01/12, which would be 29/11 this year. We'll see what they do.
  23. It's a tricky one - if it gets a 25% increase on the same week it did last year that would technically be before its three years old, so it would get reset for that week. Whether the OCC would then keep it on SCR over Christmas or shunt it straight back to ACR the week after, who knows.
  24. Apple: #7 Wham! - Last Christmas #14 Mariah Carey - All I Want for Christmas is You #16 Shakin' Stevens - Merry Christmas Everyone #25 The Pogues feat. Band Aid is not combined and Mariah and Wham! definitely will not get reset.
