The Chain #71 in the update! Could finally go top 75. Not sure what would inherit the record as biggest seller to not reach the top 75.

  4. Friday, I’m in Love Re-Entry!
  5. As predicted, Taylor Swift claims the biggest week of the year (and third biggest non-Christmas week of all time) on Spotify with 'The Fate of Ophelia'. She also claimed the 2nd, 3rd and 4th biggest weeks of the year so far with 'Opalite', 'Elizabeth Taylor' and 'Father Figure'. In fact seven of the 10 biggest weeks of the year are from this week: Additionally, 'The Life of a Showgirl', 'CANCELLED!' and 'Eldest Daughter' were the 11th, 12th and 13th biggest weeks of the year respectively, meaning this week's top 10 are all within the 13 biggest weeks of the year. Even including Christmas songs, 'The Fate of Ophelia' claims the 6th highest weekly Spotify total of all time (excluding remixes). It becomes the 12th different song to record a week over 7 million streams and seventh to record a week over 8 million streams: *Combining multiple versions did not affect position compared to highest individual version In non-Taylor Swift news, 'Messy' dropped below 1 million weekly streams this week, leaving just 'Beautiful Things' above that threshold on every week this year.
  6. didn’t even beat Shape of You’s 1st week in the end
  7. Spotify YTD at the end of Q3: "Ordinary" continues to stretch its lead with the only question now being how high it will rank compared to the other highest year end totals. "Messy" should finally surpass "That's So True" in the next couple of weeks, many months after it surpassed it on the OCC list. "back to friends" is the higher of the two sombr songs on this list at #12, with both doing much better than the OCC list. The two old Coldplay favourites and "Nice to Each Other" are also performing a lot better on Spotify. On the other hand, "Golden" is slightly lagging behind its OCC position at only #36. Other hits underperforming on Spotify are "Dior" (#62) and "Blessings" (#87). As with the OCC list, "Iris" should dethrone "Mr. Brightside" as top oldie here, however, it may take a couple more weeks. "Dreams" is also on for a record year, as well as "Naive" sneaking into the top 50 for the first time. The White Noise track, now combining totals from both the Loopable and the Loopable No Fade versions would be #19 if I placed it properly (or #27 counting only the Loopable version's streams). Top 3 highest non-OCC list songs are "Feel Good Inc." (#58), "Teenage Dirtbag (#68) and "505" (#69). The only 2025 hit not on the OCC YTD currently in the top 100 are "Just Keep Watching" (#95) and "Juno" (#97), although the latter will drop out next week. "Burning Down" and "Tell Me" both fail to make the top 200 here despite being in the top 100 on the OCC list. Any questions, as always, please ask.
  8. No New Peak for Mystical Magical? Would have had it climbing above Family Matters and Revolving door to #60 this week.
  9. Good 4 u did much better in both peak and overall: 2021 Spotify YE: Olivia Rodrigo - good 4 u - 95.3m Olivia Rodrigo - drivers license - 83.7m Despite drivers license being released in the second week of the year and good 4 u in May.
  10. Drivers license’s peak week was 6.98m so no
  11. Shape of You had 2 and a half consecutive weeks, probably that. Good 4 u had two weeks.
  12. Easy On Me’s 10.7m for the week is out of reach, but Shape of You’s 9.3m should be beaten for the second highest non-Christmas week ever.

What sort of debut are we looking at compared to recent records, what did Divide and 30 do?

Apologies, I’m sure it’s been asked a million times already, but what did TTPD open with?
  15. “Man I Need” once again broke its own record for the biggest week of the year and now holds the top 4 and 5 of the top 6 biggest weeks. However, the whole top 10 is likely to change dramatically this week following Taylor’s release. “Man I Need” also enters the top 100 of the YTD along with “Just Keep Watching”. “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” dropped below 1 million weekly streams, leaving “Beautiful Things” and “Messy” (just) as the only remaining songs above this threshold in every week this year.
  16. Taylor whole top 12, all over 1m Fate of Ophelia #1 with 2.2m, not sure how that compares to the biggest non-Christmas days ever
  17. Can’t remember the exact album streaming rules, will Taylor’s album be hurt by only having 12 tracks?
  18. Maestro posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
    I think it’s basically guaranteed
  19. Lose Control up 41 spots on Spotify?!
  20. Did it release at midnight or 5am?
  21. A bunch of Taylor showing up on Apple now, but every track seems to be duplicated, are there multiple versions?

  23. Missed the update yesterday before the thread closed, but any reason for the suspicious big jump for Dreams (and The Chain) on Spotify yesterday.
  24. Back to friends was released in December last year
  25. 'DENIAL IS A RIVER' is tanking even more than I thought, must be doing like 2.5k a week now?
