  1. First day inside the top 50 for The Chain
  2. Brazil is a big loss from my votes - another that I thought might do better.
  3. Am a bit behind on my estimates so am admittedly guessing a bit here, but these are the 5 songs I’d have on the chopping block: Belong Together It’s ok I’m ok Chasing Cars Teenage Dirtbag Another Love I think both of the last two are fairly solid but could drop out for a few weeks if we get a sudden influx of new big hits. Based on how well Oasis songs have been holding up so far and the length of their tour, I think Don’t Look Back in Anger will definitely show up at some point and possibly Live Forever too.

Mr. Brightside outside the top 50 must be pretty rare
  5. Wow, really thought Getaway Car would do better

  7. Dreams new peak at #12 on Spotify, even higher than after the Skateboard trend. No idea why
  8. not a good second day for Bieber Dakota new peak at #37
  9. Daises #3 on Spotify More importantly, Standing on Business is #186
  10. Decent start I think?
  11. As if he’s actually got a track called that lmao
  12. The Chain charts for the first time ever this week! Just before the rules come in to ban it
  13. What was #1 here? Adele?
  14. Bieber album out tonight - genuinely have no idea how well it will do. My intuition is that no one cares and it won’t do great numbers, but am not that confident on that belief. What do other people think?
  15. It’s not doing significantly better or worse than it’s done at any point over the last 2 and a half years (with the exception of the first week of 2024 where it was top 15). It’s basically an ever present in the top 50 (usually 40) with the exception of Christmas and massive album bombs.
  16. Strange to see the Oasis songs jump again, they didn’t perform on Sunday night right? Acquiese now above Wonderwall on Spotify so could chart even if the OCC reset everything
  17. Back to friends #1 on the global chart
  18. If Champagne Supernova goes top 40 this week does Dream On get through?
  19. Would cause some problems for Gasman’s competition though
  20. Not as big as an effect as last year when it was announced and Live Forever got to #2
  21. Fair, but given it’s like #5 on the equivalent Spotify list I would’ve expected it to be higher tbh
  22. Wow, As It Was is only #75 on Apple Music’s top 500 songs list
  23. Let’s not take the piss here
  24. TBH I wouldn’t be against this either, they could publish the actual singles chart as well as the one with all their made up rules applied. The problem is they won’t do that because anyone who actually cares about the charts would care more about the actual one than the made up one and it would cause a lot of inconsistency/lack of clarity when it came to records
  25. Maybe they should just accept that these older songs are genuinely as popular as current hits and let them chart
