  1. TBH I wouldn’t be against this either, they could publish the actual singles chart as well as the one with all their made up rules applied. The problem is they won’t do that because anyone who actually cares about the charts would care more about the actual one than the made up one and it would cause a lot of inconsistency/lack of clarity when it came to records
  2. Maybe they should just accept that these older songs are genuinely as popular as current hits and let them chart
  3. They’ve deleted streams from total stream numbers for a number of songs
  4. Blinding Lights did 2.2m in 2020
  5. Wonderwall #320 I do think Shape of You is still #1 on Apple tho
  6. Another Love was only #361

Yes, I am equally upset about how I’ll deal with it in my spreadsheets. How are the OCC handling it?

They also had too many - just credit it to the Cast lmao

This is a ridiculous (and unnecessary) number of artists to be credited

  11. I did mention Belong Together as being in trouble a couple of weeks ago
  12. What are the Fleetwood Mac jumps all about?
  13. Very proud of that March prediction that Dakota (previously: #40 in 2005) would make an appearance at some point - hope it manages to hold on, great song. Teenage Dirtbag (previously: #9 in 2001) joins The Sound of Silence as the only 2 songs on the YTD that haven't charted on audio streaming this year. Second appearance this year for Another Love (previously: 2013: #86, 2021: #75, 2022: #27, 2023: #21 and 2024: #64) having appeared between weeks 3 and 12 earlier in the year. Starting to look very clear that Not Like Us will finish worse this year than last which is a bit of a surprise. Next week is fairly straightforward I think - Blessings should replace Red Wine Supernova, there's some other new stuff on the way in the coming weeks too, so hopefully the chart will get a bit fresher.
  14. Apple Music are apparently releasing a top 500 most streamed songs of all time list
  15. No Cure on Spotify either :(
  16. Based on the list I posted in the streaming thread the other day, I’d guess Teenage Dirtbag or Use Somebody are the most likely, I don’t think Can’t Hold Us, Can’t Stop or Promiscuous have done well enough on their respective genre charts
  17. Disappointing to see no effect for the Cure on Apple Music so far

Presumably the KPop thing will be limited to 3 tracks on Friday
  19. Is Zach Bryan touring atm? Seeing some good numbers for a lot of his stuff

Someone You Loved at #44 on AcR? Jesus Christ. Also the Giver at #6? I assume physicals, admittedly I haven’t read the thread
  21. it’s 3 years old next week so even if it was reset I think it would get punted straight back to ACR
  22. In theory not allowed but the OCC did reset Wonderwall last year in similar circumstances when it shouldn’t have been so guess we’ll have to wait and see if they want to apply their rules correctly or not
  23. Someone You Loved being as high as #31 on Apple is a war crime regardless of the new release from Capaldi
  24. Anything from his second album can and everything from his first apart from Someone You Loved can
  25. No worries - a lot of these songs probably aren’t in the “actual” top 100 but have been advantaged by having been on the chart for almost every week whereas hits from this year which have now dropped out the weekly chart are no longer getting any credit, even if they’re doing 450k a week for example, so are dropping harder than is maybe representative of their actual popularity. For the record from the list I shared, I see four possible contenders for the OCC YTD: 505 Dakota Counting Stars I Remember Everything I wouldn’t consider any of the rest a threat as it stands
