Wouldn’t rule out Another Love either. I think Don’t Stop Me Now is out of the picture now, dropped to #7 on the metal chart this week. Difficult to know how many sales that actually is but I’d guess no more than 6.5k

Ah yes, was only looking at the bottom 10 when writing the comment so forgot about 'Who' (and to a lesser extent 'Defying Gravity'). 'Wonderwall' is also very likely to re-enter whenever the Oasis tour starts I'd imagine, my rough current estimate has it on ~180k. I had 'Running Around' in contention to make it in a few weeks, but that seems to have collapsed now, so I think 'Don't Stop Me Now' might return in two weeks by default as you say.

By my calculations, there is now A LOT of stuff tanking at the bottom of the top 100 with very little to replace it. I do think Shake It to the Max makes it next week at the expense of Prada as Julian alluded to last week. Also in trouble soon: Arm's Length Indigo Red Wine Supernova Shut Up and Dance Belong Together Capaldi's reign of terror should continue for a while longer as I think Someone You Loved is doing better than all of the above currently.

You've downgraded your sales estimate for 'All the Stars' this week Julian? I think we could see the bottom end of the chart stagnate with songs on low sales but nothing to replace them, which didn't really happen last year with everything falling away being replaced quickly. I think 'Prada' will survive one more week with no new entries next week as I don't think '505' is close enough - outside of that it's a guessing game which oldies show up, I guess 'Don't Stop Me Now' could re-enter if stuff drops off really fast. Outside of that maybe 'Wonderwall' or 'Another Love' which has picked up a bit on Spotify recently but I would think they're quite far away by now. I would imagine that 'We are the People' has a fairly poor premium ratio, would be surprised to see it show up. I could see 'Shake It to the Max' showing up in 2 weeks time, but maybe that's optimistic on my part. I had it jumping 'Burning Down', but being passed by 'Azizam' and not quite doing enough to get ahead of 'Dirty Cash', thus staying at #54.

Spotify YTD at the End of May: That's So True still just about holding on at the top. Some bigger differences starting to emerge compared to the OCC list - Nice to Meet You (#45), The Door and Anxiety (#48) are the biggest losers. All the Stars, Timeless, Headlock and luther are the biggest gainers on Spotify compared to the OCC. The Giver, Say My Name (Remix) and MUTT are still yet to reach the top 100 on the Spotify list, whilst Burning Down and Tell Me are outside the top 200. The top two songs on the Spotify list not in the OCC top 100 are both by Tyler, The Creator - Like Him at #60 and See You Again at #64. Happy to answer any questions if people have them

Very unlikely - it’s charted very regularly over the past 4 years, so unless the label could give a good reason for a manual reset it won’t happen

looks like Spotify have recalibrated playlists/auto play yesterday to cause moves like that. Are the big jumps for Fleetwood Mac also due to that or is there a specific reason for them?

I get that thought in theory but it would heavily hinder songs which had very big debut weeks

First week under a million streams on Spotify for Stick Season, ending an 83 week run, since October 2023. Previous record was 75 consecutive weeks by Blinding Lights. Lose Control is currently on 73 weeks.
