Would be incredibly fraudulent if this happens. How much do we expect her to fall this week? Would be great to see the Pogues or Brenda go top 3
  2. Love Step into Christmas. Great to see it doing better on Spotify this year
  3. Spotify Weekly Chart Year-on-Year: Wham!: -8.7% Mariah: -6.7% Brenda: -8.5% We’ll see how the official chart numbers compare year on year shortly
  4. Not sure I agree (especially given I predict Wham! to be top 10 on the new year chart this year). IMO whichever year the last week of the year has more days in should be the chart it contributes to. In this case the week after Christmas has 6 days in 2025 so should contribute to the 2025 YE.
  5. It should be a 53 week year but the OCC will not use logic. Well tbh it should be a 52 week year, as week 1 should’ve counted towards 2024.
  6. Why wouldn’t it be week 52 figures? Pretty sure they ran chart of the year on 27/12 last year with the final numbers
  7. Seems similar to what PUSH 2 START was doing this time last year which didn’t really kick on tbh

Because they’re all excluded and confined to the legacy chart, where Mariah was #1 last week.
  9. Possibly although it dropping only 6.7% today is irrelevant if it’s back to being down 10% over next weekend when streams are up again. We’ll have to wait and see if it continues trending in the right direction over the rest of the week
  10. Would absolutely love it if this could chart officially. One of my favourites
  11. +3.1% year on year for yesterday, which given a lot of the other songs are down is very good relatively speaking. That said Shaky does much better on Apple than Spotify so his year on year performance there is more important (not that we have any idea what that is really). Echo the thoughts of hoping it stays top 10 tho
  12. Monday 8th Dec 2025 vs. Monday 9th Dec 2024: Wham!: -6.7% Mariah: -8.2% Brenda: -9.7% Ariana: +3.2% (Has been moved to #1 on Christmas Hits) Kelly: +7.6% Bobby Helms: -12.1% Pogues: -0.8%
  13. Thought Another Love had lost its chance, not looking good for Dakota in that case even though I am very confident Brenda is going to miss now

How is Bitter Sweet Symphony #85
  15. Still massively down year on year. Wham! over 100k less than the equivalent Saturday last year
  16. Santa Tell Me is one of the worst Christmas songs of all time. Up there with the McCartney stinker
  17. Wham! down > 10% year on year compared to the equivalent Friday last year
  18. Not sure about other countries but in the UK, the totals of all versions are combined for the official chart
  19. Iirc they reset Cruel Summer instead of Is It Over Now? At the start of 2024
  20. Really hope Dakota can make it
  21. Laufey back to #1 on Christmas hits on Spotify Kelly #2 Brenda #3 Mariah #4 Dean Martin #5 Wham! #6
  22. I also like both Running Up That Hill and End of Beginning so am happy to see them in the chart, it’s just frustrating the rules seem to be ignored with the OCC just doing whatever they want in each individual case
  23. OCC follow their own rules regarding resets challenge (impossible)
  24. Golden just doesn’t do as well on Spotify compared to its performance on the OCC charts - see my Spotify YTD on the previous page of this thread which shows it’s not top 10
  25. Just one month of 2025 to go, the Spotify YTD looks like this: "Ordinary" passed "Beautiful Things"'s total from last year this week to move up to fifth in all time yearly totals, it will pass "Someone You Loved" for fourth but will not be able to catch "Espresso", "Stick Season" or "Shape of You" for a top 3 placement. Spotify Wrapped (tomorrow I think) could have some interesting impacts on some of the older hits, but I think "That's So True" is safe at #2, "Pink Pony Club" should pass "Messy" for third however. The bottom half of the top 10 is very close so there could still be some reshuffling there as well as "Man I Need" charging up the rankings. "Golden" continues to lag behind here compared to the OCC list and will not break the top 10 by year end. "Iris" should overtake "Mr. Brightside" to claim top oldie this week. In terms of other oldies in the top 40, "Yellow" has overtaken "Viva la Vida" as the top Coldplay song and "Naive" has entered for the first time ever. A couple of hits at the bottom of the top 40 on the OCC list are struggling a lot more on Spotify - notably "Dior" (#57) and "Blessings" (#90). "Teenage Dirtbag" is still the highest song not on the OCC list at #56. Excluding "Sparks" (#71) and "Let Down" (#89), there are no genuine 2025 hits in the top 100 here not on the OCC list, "Tears" (#117) and "The Subway" (#118) are the highest in this category. As always, any questions please ask :)
