Songs that are more than 3 years old are only eligible for automatic resets if they're not charted in the past 3 years. Riptide charts basically every week at this point so can't get reset unless the label ask for it

Potential resets on today's chart based on this week's Spotify: Natasha Bedingfield - Unwritten (+85.3%) Drake - Practice (+29.9%) The Lumineers - Ophelia (+41.1%) [Although I expect the OCC to miss this one] Riptide by Vance Joy was also up 45% week-on-week but obviously that's ineligible

BUZZJACK EOY TOP 10 RESHUFFLE RESULTS
Miracle being #2 is shocking. Mid song, both artists can and have done so much better

The fact that she has a very popular Christmas song definitely boosts this tho. Mariah’s currently #8 and I doubt she’d be top 100 normally.

Technically still not a new peak as it reached #55 on release in 2016 according to Kworb

Asterisk against Riptide’s new peak as it reached the top 10 pre-2017 before the Spotify website started collecting data. Why’s it so high tho? I know it’s been hanging around the top 50 for ages but #11 is a bit absurd?

Not a new peak, but #54 for Naive by the Kooks seems a lot higher than usual given its only spent 6 weeks in the top 100 since 2018

UK Spotify 2023 Year End Chart
I have compiled a top 200 based on weekly streams songs received on the UK Spotify Chart this year. This is far from a perfect chart as I only have data for the streams a song receives when its within the top 200 and thus if it drops out it gains no further streams. This means songs that dropped out early on in the year such as Unholy (#102) and Made You Look (#132) perform much worse on this chart compared to the OCC Year End. Songs with remixes can also suffer, for example, a vast majority of streams for the original version of Until I Found You were outside of the weekly chart and neither version of Save Your Tears charted regularly despite them producing good figures when combined. Regarding the chart itself, Sprinter narrowly beats Flowers to #1 here with Escapism. at #3 as in the OCC list. Kill Bill (#4), Boy's a liar (#5) & Cruel Summer (#8) are all better off here compared to the OCC list, with Miracle (#9), Calm Down (#14) and People (#18) not performing as well. Sprinter also had the two biggest streaming weeks for a non-Christmas song (7.8 million and 6.7 million), however Wham! did manage 8.5 million on Christmas week. The biggest overperformers compared to the OCC chart were I Wanna Be Yours (#23; 63 places), Sweater Weather (#28; 57 places) and Starboy (#42; 53 places). Five songs on the OCC list failed to make the Spotify top 200: Bad Habits, Summer of '69, Save Your Tears, go and Perfect, the latter of which didn't chart at all. In terms of ones that did, the biggest underperformers were Pointless (#183; 136 places), Until I Found You (#174; 135 places) and Tattoo (#198; 114 places). In terms of songs that did not make the OCC list, for the second year in a row Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High (#32) and No Role Modelz (#36) are the highest. Out of actual 2023 releases however, Popular (#46) missing the OCC list was a surprise to me, although it looks like it could make it in 2024. Other hits from 2023 that made it on this list but missed out officially were See You Again (#74), adore u (#93), bad idea right? (#99) and Water (#100). Twenty-three songs spent all 51 weeks of 2023 in the Spotify Chart and these are highlighted in yellow, with Mr. Brightside managing to spend every week in the top 100 for the third year in a row. I Wanna Be Yours spent all but one week in the top 100. Fourteen Christmas songs made the top 200, two less than last year, although Happy Xmas (War is Over) and Driving Home for Christmas only just missed out. Last Christmas was the highest, although some way below its OCC position at #44, with All I Want for Christmas is You (#54) and Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree (#79) also making the top 100. As with the OCC list, increasing numbers of old songs are present with 66 songs on this list being released before 2016. Sure Thing (#13) is the highest, Mr. Brightside (#15) and Another Love (#21) follow. There are some differences in which old songs perform better with The Chain charting at #84 here but missing the OCC list, whereas Go Your Own Way which made the OCC list is only #116. Someone Like You also misses out on the top 100 at #106 whereas Set Fire to the Rain comfortably makes it at #61. Taylor Swift has the most songs in the top 200 with nine (from six different albums), just ahead of Arctic Monkeys with eight, with AM being the album with the most entries, having four (three in the top 100). Four songs from the Barbie film also made the top 200: Dance the Night (#19), What Was I Made For? (#38), Barbie World (#94) and Speed Drive (#158). Here is the link to the Google Sheet, there are two sheets, the first being the table with the data and the second being some stats regarding the year: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1D6m...#gid=1679179276 Any questions, feel free to ask! :)

Disappointing that Mr. Brightside only managed #11 on Spotify. #6 on Apple is crazy tho, surely it has to chart top 40 this week

The “New Year’s Eve 2023” Playlist actually has more saves on Spotify than that one which has this top 5: 1) Rihanna - We Found Love 2) Abba - Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! 3) Dua Lipa - Dance the Night 4) Jack Harlow - Lovin On Me 5) Rema & Selena Gomez - Calm Down Either way, expect a big boost for We Found Love

With Mr. Brightside at #14 on Spotify and #18 on Apple and with an inevitable large New Year’s Eve boost coming, I think unless the OCC reset a huge amount of stuff, it will be in the top 40 next week.
