  1. What are the rules in this round, how many songs qualify?
  2. Trap Queen of course isn’t really a new entry just shown as one due to limitations of the Spotify website’s chart history Would never have thought that Alex Warren would debut top 10.
  3. Presumably that's the record? I'd guess Perfect by Ed Sheeran is second? (306 weeks)
  4. Songs that probably should have been reset this week but the OCC missed based on Spotify gains: Benson Boone - Beautiful Things (+38.6%) [Thankfully this was missed] Fetty Wap - Again (Probably at least a 100% increase) Chappell Roan - Red Wine Supernova (+32.6%) [This one potentially could have been reset and just starred out, but I think it does better than Casual overall despite being behind on Spotify] Billie Eilish - CHIHIRO (+30.7%) French Montana feat. Swae Lee - Unforgettable (+27.0%)
  5. I revised these figures slightly since posting this, would now be: 20 Ed Sheeran - Perfect (2.45m) 21 Vance Joy - Riptide (2.40m) 22 Tom Odell - Another Love (2.38m) 23 Fleetwood Mac - Dreams (2.37m) 24 Fleetwood Mac - Everywhere (2.29m) 25 Adele - Easy On Me (2.25m) A top 100 would be insanely hard to estimate, but I might give a top 50 a go. We'll see
  6. Technically a Christmas song tho but wouldn’t have thought of it.
  7. Killers streaming sales clearly switching from Rebel Diamonds to Direct Hits this week
  8. Top of the Pops on BBC4 tonight had Hot Chocolate - You Sexy Thing on which reached the top 10 in 1975, 1987 and 1997. It got me thinking as to how many other songs have done this, outside of the obvious Christmas songs I can only think of 2 others: Running Up That Hill (1985, 2012, 2022) Three Lions (1996, 1998, 2006, 2010, 2018, 2021, 2024) Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
  9. I think Jim Watts does statistics but Disturbed must be moving up the rankings of most SCR weeks since ACR was added to the chart
  10. Moves Like Jagger given it was also #2 on the year end list
  11. Good luck predicting resets for the chart later Joseph. A huge number of potential ones based on weekly Spotify numbers

Monthly listeners is a terrible metric as it doesn’t actually reflect an artist’s popularity as it can be massively skewed by an artist having big hits that are on most people’s playlist. For example Lord Huron has 29 million monthly listeners which would imply that they’re a pretty popular band when in reality the 29 million listeners are mostly from people listening to The Night We Met and not caring about any of their other songs. Monthly listeners better reflects the popularity of an artist’s biggest hits than the actual popularity of the artist.
  13. Crazy that the Grammy’s impact is still growing every day. Amazing to see Pink Pony Club top 10.
  14. Headlock must have climbed again as well this week right? Bit of a surprise to see Unwritten (#25 in 2024) [also #111 in 2004] back which becomes the first drop out to re-enter this year. I had noticed Save Your Tears (2021: #4, 2022: #37, 2023: #55) doing quite well on the hip-hop chart so not too surprised to see that, will see if it can hang around following the Weeknd's new album. Interesting that it now seems to be more popular than Blinding Lights but I guess having two popular versions helps. It joins Another Love and The Sound of Silence as tracks yet to chart on audio streaming this year. Not Like Us will almost certainly re-enter next week along with possible appearances from CRG, Sports car and Do I Wanna Know? (Hozier) although I think the latter may have missed its chance now tbh. I also think its possible that All the Stars could enter in a few weeks.
  15. Definite reset for Not Like Us assuming the OCC actually remember this year and it’s got the Super Bowl next weekend. Could go top 10 again next week imo.
  16. +25 The Kooks - She Moves in Her Own Way +24 The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army +23 Billy Joel - We Didn't Start the Fire +22 Chris Cornell - You Know My Name +21 Toploader - Dancing In The Moonlight +20 Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton – Islands in the Stream +19 Abba - Lay All Your Love On Me +18 Avril Lavigne - I'm with You +17 Queen - Another One Bites the Dust +16 Dr. Dre featuring Eminem – Forgot About Dre +15 Radiohead - Creep +14 Jade - Angel Of My Dreams +13 Chic - Le Freak +12 Wild Cherry - Play That Funky Music +11 The Rolling Stones - Start Me Up +10 Daft Punk - Da Funk / Musique

Very unlikely given most of Tuesday’s data isn’t included so it will only have one day of streaming
  18. 1500 consecutive days for Mr. Brightside.

APT. and That's So True both heading to ACR by the looks of things
  20. Will you still release the overall ranking of the remaining songs in this round?
  21. Turns out Spotify have been manually adjusting total streaming numbers. They’ve taken 52m streams of Who by Jimin, finally cottoning onto the fraud

Probably just don’t wanna play all 3 Weeknd songs

This will bomb downward by Friday based on Spotify day 2
  24. Some quite big moves on Spotify, notably big climbs for Beautiful Things and Bad Dreams
  25. Carti is now re-credited on Spotify too. I don’t get why artists do this tbh
