No way. You’re seriously underestimating the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day streams. If they’re already at #35 and #36 they’ll be lucky to stay top 50 imo. Also even though today is technically a working day, I’d still expect Wham! to clear a million on Spotify.
  3. Good to see the Pogues are still #3 for now.
  4. Jingle Bell Rock is now #1 on Christmas Hits again. O Holy Night by Celine Dion which I don’t think I’ve ever heard is #12 The Pogues have been moved back up to #26

Stick Season was #10 on the equivalent week last year

If Stick Season stays top 100 it will likely break Capaldi(?)’s record for consecutive weeks right. Would like a new peak for Sleigh Ride
  7. Brenda’s actually higher than that cos she’s got a second version doing 99k
  8. It also logically makes no sense to have to wait til after Christmas to find out what the Christmas #1 was. Even less people would care about it that way.
  9. Just had a look at their website and the last song that was #1 there that was an official #1 was BACKBONE in August
  10. I think 37 is the obvious answer so that’s what I’ve gone for.
  11. Brenda is now #1 on Christmas Hits with Laufey up to #5
  12. Apple: #121 SZA - Snooze #185 SZA & Kendrick Lamar - 30 for 30 #156 Sam Ryder - You’re Christmas to Me #163 Band Aid - Do They Know It’s Christmas? (2024 Ultimate Mix) Even with the Christmas songs, that seems like a slow start for SZA
  13. It would go to ACR technically but spend zero weeks on ACR as it would be reset back to SCR again before the first chart in January. Also it’s APT. not ATP.
  14. Looking at the weekly Spotify chart this week it’s interesting to note that despite all the Christmas songs, the top 200 cutoff is actually lower now than at some points earlier in the year.
  15. 15 new tracks (although Saturn was already released) plus the whole of SOS tagged onto the end - will obviously be combined in the album chart. Not sure how well it will do on streaming, presumably the track with Kendrick will be the biggest.
  16. Bing Crosby must be #85 right? Unless Spotify messing up its streaming numbers has dumped it out completely
  17. I love Step into Christmas personally
  18. Some of that is probably due to it being moved up to #1 on Christmas Hits yesterday. Underneath the Tree is now #1. Will be interesting to see what they put at #1 on Christmas Eve and Day - If they put Brenda at #1 she could overtake Mariah officially imo
  19. Now and Then Merry Christmas Various charity rubbish in 2020
  20. Yes I think Adele’s weekly streaming record will be broken. I expect Wham! to do 12 mil plus next week
  21. It’ll be like when positions missed out in 2020 after spending 6 weeks at #1 and then made it (although only just) in 2021. I imagine That’s So True will be top 20 next year tbh.

Nah she’s staying on SCR so she’ll probably still be top 20. I guess #16

    Pogues #9, #10 or #11?
  24. Idk what’s happened to Chris Rea especially on Spotify, I remember he was comfortably top 10 a few years ago and I think he even has a daily peak of #4
  25. I mean it’s very clear that Spotify has a lot of power to manipulate songs positions, for example when random old songs randomly jump from outside the top 200 to near the top 50 for a couple of weeks before disappearing - that’s clearly manufactured and not due to people actively seeking them out.
