  1. Not a new peak
  2. Poor 'How It's Done' being the only non-Christmas song outside the top 40 not to climb this week. 'LV Sandals' is the only song to have charted on audio streaming in both weeks and not be in the YTD. 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)', 'Turn the Lights Off' are joined by 'Mystical Magical' and 'Seventeen Going Under' as songs on the YTD which are yet to chart on audio streaming this year. 'Ok Love You Bye', 'Silver Springs' and 'Piano Man' join 'The Hardest Part', 'Baby Steps' and 'I've Seen It' as songs that could make a year end without having ever made the weekly top 100, Olivia Dean now has 12 songs on the list. Out of the 19 entries this week, eight of them have made at least one year end before, seven made last year's plus 'Should I Stay or Should I Go' which was #19 in 1991 (but missed out in 1982. The other 11 have never made a year end list before, although I was amazed to see that 'Purple Rain' missed out in 1984. 'Sweater Weather' (#51) and 'One Dance' (#57) are the highest two songs on the Spotify YTD not on the list, although both have charted on audio streaming.

Not sure if mentioned yet but BPI have upgraded their website
  4. Man I Need must be approaching record days/weeks at #1
  5. Not sure Heroes makes it this week tbh. Hopefully the Cure but I suspect they have a terrible premium ratio
  6. Spotify #183 (RE) t.A.T.u - All the Things She Said Didn’t realise this had charted before. Would be in favour of a resurgence

Did Meat Loaf not get three?
  8. I would guess Ed Sheeran holds the record

Can’t Get You Out of My Head was #1 when I was born, and also her best imo. Although Spinning Around is a close second. XMAS is easily the worst I’m afraid. On a Night Like This is my favourite song of hers but looks like that only peaked at #2.
  10. I mean I disagree with the Police being reset but whatever, at least justice was done for Diana and nice to see Starry Eyed too The Cure and She & Him still robbed however
  11. This should be 2016
  12. Not a great start from Bruno then or is that a bit harsh on my part?
  13. That’s So True was #40 on UK Spotify yesterday. APT. was #128
  14. Jesus Christ

25 million album sales for Fleetwood Mac!
  16. Autoplay loves this one. I get it quite a lot
  17. Think we’ve got 15 guaranteed drop outs (probably 17 as I doubt Kelly or the Pogues hold on), so lots of space to fill.
  18. Out of the top 100, exactly 50 were on last year's list, including 'Mr. Brightside' and 'DAISIES' being in the exact same position that they finished last year: Out of the remaining 50, nine have made at least one previous year end list but not 2025 (admittedly four of these are Christmas songs): The remaining 43 have never made a year end before: Once again a lot of these are Christmas songs and I think a number of them would have made Year End's in the 1970's if they'd been compiled correctly: Happy Xmas (War is Over): 1972 & 1980 Merry Xmas Everybody: 1973 I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday: 1973 Wonderful Christmastime 1979 (less sure on this one tbf) The below songs have been in the YTD every week since week one of 2025, and those in bold since week one of 2024: That's So True APT. Die with a Smile Messy Sailor Song BIRDS OF A FEATHER Espresso Good Luck, Babe! Beautiful Things Lose Control The Days (NOTION Remix) A Bar Song (Tipsy) Stargazing Stick Season Mr. Brightside Pink Pony Club Iris Everywhere Dreams Don't Stop Believin' Every Breath You Take Naive Naive being one of the few songs to have been on the list for the last two years straight amongst two mega-hits from the last two years and long term mainstays is very impressive imo. This marks the end of Capaldi's Reign of Terror as 'Someone You Loved' drops out for the first time since the start of 2019, this is also the first time 'Riptide' hasn't been on the list for a while. The following six songs charted on audio streaming this week but did not make the YTD: KATSEYE - Gabriela (#86) She & Him - I Thought I Saw Your Face Today (#91) Gunna feat. Burna Boy - wgft EsDeeKid, fakemink & Rico Ace - LV Sandals (#97) Sabrina Carpenter - Taste (#99) Bing Crosby w/ Ken Darby Singers & John Scott Trotter & His Orchestra - White Christmas (#100) They were replaced by the bottom five songs on the YTD.
  19. 30-40-50 in the last 3 years for No. 6 Collaborations
  20. Did it not re-enter for 1 week at the start of 2024 too?
  21. Djo over 100k ahead of Raye and nearly 200k ahead of Taylor
  22. We are so back! Excited to see how this year unfolds. No real big surprise entries in the first week due to all the Christmas songs, maybe we’ll get some next week. Wham! should survive until week 4 I think

Djo and Kate Bush should’ve been as well but that didn’t seem to matter
