Ngl, think he just pushed it as the single cos it sounds the “most commercial”, definitely better tracks on the album imo

Mariah now up to #69 on Apple whereas she’s fallen to #81 on Spotify (#35 in the States tho lmao).

 

Interestingly I’m pretty sure this is the opposite to last year where her performance on Spotify was consistently much better than on Apple

If you combine all 4 I’d give a rough estimate of 9.8mil

 

The original and the Stormzy version were 9.1mil for sure, not sure about the other two versions

Also Sam Fender's new songs sound very The Killers-esque in style I must say, so maybe people are reminded of the Killers by Sam Fender's recent success and then play Mr Brightside again, so that now it is back top 40 on spotify.

 

I’ll be honest, I don’t think Sam Fender has had much impact on that. Mr. Brightside has been in and around the top 40 on Spotify all year pretty much.

 

As of the end of September it was the 24th most streamed track on Spotify this year in the UK
