Top 100 Most Streamed Songs Of The 70s/80s/90s in the UK in 2025
Linger was a TikTok thing and Brucey benefitted from a boost from the Euros last year. Was in the YTD for a good portion of this year too but lose momentum.

Four Fleetwood Mac! Cranberries had a really good year last year and still only snuck in, was going to be hard to repeat. Summer of '69 made it in 23 and 24 but seems to have had a worse year this time.

I’m fairly confident that Mr. Brightside will survive in tomorrow’s update in the top 200 for the 1,826th day in a row since Boxing Day 2020

Could see Mariah overtake for Christmas Eve and then Wham! Retake it on Christmas Day

Not 100% sure of this. Mariah is back to #1 on Christmas Hits with Wham! now #4. Dean Martin and Kelly should benefit at #2 and #3. Unfortunately Chris Rea has been moved back down massively after being briefly moved near the top yesterday.

Go on Dakota! Not too fussed about Tom missing out given he’s made it the last 4 years

Chris Rea only up to #8 on Apple so far

How ACR has affected the #1 spot
Difficult to say. Streaming numbers at the top of the Spotify chart were very low throughout Covid until Christmas came along, but the depth of the numbers improved so more people were using the platform it was just “popular” music wasn’t getting streamed as much and the diversity increased. Everyone listens to Christmas music however so that increase in users was potentially only shown at the top of the chart at Christmas. However I know for me personally and lots of others I know, we listened to more Christmas music and earlier in 2020 cos of how terrible the year was. So to answer your question I think a bit of both.
