  1. Somedays needs to bore off. Strong chance of lots of that stuff going to ACR if the Weeknd’s album can take over the market
  2. Fairly average first few hours debut imo
  3. The Weeknd has removed all credits for features from his album including those that were credited on the pre-released singles.
  4. RIP Dancing in the Moonlight. About time for 505 (previously #64 in 2022 and #82 in 2023). This leaves Ransom as the only song to have charted on audio streaming for every week but not be in the YTD. In fact all of Arctic Monkeys' back catalogue got a boost last week (maybe due to the Hozier cover going viral). Dancing in the Moonlight and Not Like Us leave without having charted on audio streaming, leaving Another Love and now The Sound of Silence (#95 in 2024) as the only songs in the YTD not to have charted on audio streaming yet this year. GBP is the only guaranteed entry next week imo, but it could be joined by some combination of Do I Wanna Know? (Hozier), Feel Good Inc. and Wonderwall.
  5. Hot to Go down 30 spots today is wild, what’s happened there
  6. Not reading anything into the high debut from Tate given 2 hands did the same and then no one cared about it after week one. Surprised at how high the new Sam Fender one is, wasn't expecting that big of a splash

A somewhat significant number of those 56 have never charted at all which is impressive. Still waiting for the first year end hit to have never charted on the weekly chart. I Wanna Be Yours was very close to achieving that.

Would be interested in seeing that list of 55 if you don’t mind.

Ngl I think it must be a pretty long list at this point. There must be a large number that a multi-platinum. Not sure what the biggest selling is. Either Summer of ‘69 or The Chain I imagine
  10. Apple Music Central Cee: #5 (+11) GBP (feat. 21 Savage) #9 CRG (feat. Dave) #19 No Introduction #23 5 Star #26 Truth in the Lies (feat. Lil Durk) #31 Ten (feat. Skepta) #32 Gata (feat. Young Miko) #33 St. Patrick's #34 Limitless #35 Top Freestyle #40 (+134) BAND4BAND (feat. Lil Baby) #42 Up North #45 We're Strangers #63 Walk In Wardrobe #65 gen z luv #72 Must Be #78 Don't Know Anymore (#154 Sprinter) Tate McRae: #88 Sports car #117 (RE) It's ok I'm ok #129 (+63) 2 hands (#134 greedy) Other Newbies: #56 Sam Fender - Arm's Length #123 Travis Scott - 4X4
  11. I’ve just had a look at Hot Hits UK for the first time in ages and it’s a joke. Why on earth is Back on 74 on there.
  12. Seems like a pretty low placement for Bruno and Sexyy Red. Teddy Swims snubbed completely
  13. That’s a fair point, I’m not sure whether trajectory is included in the algorithm (in which case Messy could benefit) or if it’s just an average of the rest of the week in which case it would lose out. It’s impossible to know really without knowing what the algorithm is, but even if it’s based on trajectory it’s not guaranteed to benefit Messy compared to actual streams so it’s still more likely it loses out overall imo.
  14. Messy will probably lose out from today’s data being estimated
  15. Justice for I Dunno. Think I was the only person to give it points lmao
  16. Apple: #180 NEW Gunna - blackjack From his album last year, I assume TikTok?
  17. All the singles from Hot Fuss are amazing tbh. Plus some of the album tracks. Change Your Mind especially
  18. No idea why but yay at the Somebody Told Me re-entry. Mr. Brightside up to #18 too!
  19. Both releases are combined in the same chart run on the OCC website, so I don't see why they wouldn't be
  20. Another Love is the only re-entry this week (previously: 2013: #86, 2021: #75, 2022: #27, 2023: #21, 2024: #62) It joins Dancing in the Moonlight (which must somehow have a great premium ratio, I assume Amazon) and Not Like Us as songs yet to chart on audio streaming this year to be in the YTD. Chasing Cars and Seventeen Going Under have now charted on audio streaming. 505 and Ransom still haven't left the audio streaming chart but are yet to chart here. I do think 505 will enter next week however along with Wake Me Up. Other possible entries include The Sound of Silence, Wonderwall and maybe Feel Good Inc. but I'm guessing tbh, any random oldie could turn up really. Not too surprising based on Spotify, I Remember Everything (and Something in the Orange for that matter) have dropped off significantly post Christmas. Luckily Pink Skies is still doing well, would be great if that could hold on all year somehow.
  21. What’s the Russian thing?
  22. Yes, that rain sound shows up occasionally
  23. What on earth is that new entry
  24. I get a mixture of oldies and current stuff, some of the stuff I had the other day: Yellow - Coldplay Breakeven - The Script Sailor Song - Gigi Perez Torn - Natalie Imbruglia People Watching - Sam Fender Every Breath You Take - The Police Birds of a Feather - Billie Eilish This Charming Man - The Smiths Pink Skies - Zach Bryan Africa - TOTO There She Goes - The La’s
  25. I can't imagine many people in the US have even heard of the Kooks and Florence has only ever had two songs chart over there, although she might have a bit more visibility now having been featured on The Tortured Poets Department.
