I'm surprised the Radio 1 one is that low, since I always thought A-List was about 30 plays per week, so I would've expected their most played track to be on perhaps 35 a week, but the fact that it's only 26 is definitely a good thing (unless this chart is missing plays or something). 70 a week on Capital is honestly a bit lower than I expected too, I thought the most-played track would be on about 100, but even 70 is quite a lot, that's a play every 2.4 hours if my maths is correct. It would be nice if Capital could get their most-played songs down to under 50 plays per week at least... Would help the charts move faster too. Brilliant to see Tiga - Bugatti getting spins on Radio 1! :o Had no idea, this song is really making its way around now.

It got high on iTunes on its release week, but it no radio stations were playing it. I think the record label might be deciding to promote the song since they removed it off Spotify I think and now it's getting playlisted by a radio station around the same time.

Is this an official list or is it like CompareMyRadio, etc. where it's not 100% accurate? Thinking Out Loud (unsurprisingly) seems to be the biggest crossover hit atm.

I think Taylor's had sales subtracted from Complete My Album for the Digital chart, but for the Hot 100 they don't subtract the sales anymore.

Totally agree. I think these figures just mean that Capital + Heart + a load of local radio stations combined get more viewers than Radio 1. Haven't checked in ages, but where I live I can usually find about 5 stations playing the Big Top 40 Show. I reckon there's probably just a few ten thousand people who tune in specifically to hear the chart, the rest of the audience are probably people just turning on their favourite radio station on a Sunday afternoon and happening to hear the chart shows.

The #1 will probably be Ed Sheeran imo. Wouldn't rule out Tom though since the John Lewis song got #1 pretty fast last year iirc. Could be Gareth's song, but charity songs tend to not do that well recently.

Probably about the same as Zedd - Stay the Night or the Cash Cash song if it gets airplay...

lol. I don't really hate The Saturdays THAT much though. I liked some of their songs like Missing You, Issues and Notorious. I think their worst song is All Fired Up, it's not even a song, just a synth playing at max volume for 3 mintues.

WHY would John perform All Of Me. I can't think of any logical reason to do so, he should've performed You and I or something else. Maybe he's just trying to be #2 in the year-end chart. :lol:

"Probably"? :lol: It 100% definitely will re-enter imo. I think we'll probably get numerous other songs spending this long in the top 40 in the next few years.

Songs that I think were in the top 10 twice at the same time: Katy Perry - Teenage Dream 50 Cent - My Life Emeli Sande - Next To Me Adele - Someone Like You Adele - Rolling in the Deep (I think) PSY - Gangnam Style Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love (not 100% sure about this one either) I know there must me more that I've forgotten about/can't remember atm. Also sometimes two different versions of the same song are top 10 together too: Don't Stop Believin (Journey and Glee Cast) Empire State Of Mind (Jay-Z and Alicia Keys) You've Got the (Dirtee) Love (Florence + The Machine and Dizzee Rascal) Levels/Good Feeling (Avicii and Flo Rida, not really the same song, but still notable) When We Collide/Many Of Horror (Matt Cardle and Biffy Clyro) Hallelujah I think had two different versions top 10 on iTunes together too? Payphone (Maroon 5 and Precision Tunes or Big Hits 2012?) Prayer in C? If we're talking about #11s, I think In For the Kill by La Roux had a version in the top 10 and the Skream remix at #11 at one point.

A remix I've been loving the Armand Van Helden remix of I'm Not the Only One (the A$AP Rocky remix and originals are great too imo).

Earlier this year I was having to promote Young Fathers by sticking up posters around my city for them, and now they're top 200 on iTunes! So proud. :cry:

He's got a new song out which sounds like it could be a hit. It sounds like Dark Horse (even down to having Dr. Luke and Juicy J on the song :lol:). But I'm not sure how receptive people would be to Ne-Yo going back to R&B music tbh. Fk1ZO_980DI

Like most people, I'm sad to see that Tulisa has dropped out the top 1000. It's definitely not getting anywhere near #1 now.

I remember there was one week around Christmas time where he had to play 5 piano ballads in a row or something, followed by a Pitbull song, and he had a bit of a melt-down. :lol: I feel like there are a lot of ballads doing well in the past few years though. Just now they tend to have longer chart runs (due to excessive radio airplay), but not peak at #1. Perhaps a more accurate way to calculate would be to see how many ballads make the year-end top 50 in each year. Like the way the OP calculates it misses out some huge chart hits like Empire State of Mind Part II, Jar of Hearts, All Of Me, The A Team, Just Give Me a Reason, Stay, etc.
