US Hot 100 - 11/01/2014
** 96 Bobby Shmurda - Bobby Bitch (NEW) ^ Only last week we were speculating as to whether he'd ever get another chart entry or not, and he already has. Wonder if it'll stay around or if it's just a random one-week surge for the song.

Round 31: LEAST favourite year-end top 40 single of 2013
Summertime Sadness doesn't deserve to still be here.

Simon also thought Duck Sauce - Barbra Streisand would get to #1. Then again, he also said Eamon - f*** It was his favourite song, so he gets some things right. :)

It would be hilarious if Lethal Bizzle blocked Tulisa, given how much we know she loves him. :kink: Can't see that happening though, even if the song has been on pre-order for a year, it would probably need like 1,000 pre-orders a month to debut at #1 on iTunes after its release, and I doubt it's got anywhere near that. Also Tulisa's song I can't see getting to #1 anyway, it's pretty good, but I think too many people hate her to buy her songs. This reminds me of this btw: sZWblHflaig

Absolutely BRILLIANT song! :D

Tulisa's new song is basically an improved version of Hideaway. Not sure what that Tinchy Stryder song is going to be like lol. He had a good song recently called ESG. On the other hand, Tinchy and Tulisa's smash hit "collab" Number 1 is not in the top 1500.

Round 27: LEAST favourite year-end top 40 single of 2013
I agree. I'm really annoyed that Thrift Shop got voted out. :(

I know 8 out of the top 10 songs (and the Jay James song I know the original so sort of 9), which is higher than normal for me lately.

Why has Burn gone out before I Need Your Love? Sad to see Can't Hold Us looking likely to go. :(

Wretch 32 - 6 Words
I like this song more everytime I hear it.

•~~ Thermo's Friday Flashback ~~•
That was a brilliant chart run for a #7 hit in 2004 that The Weekend had surely? :o Ghosts N Stuff is a great song too, doesn't really feel "old" yet to me though. Don't think I know the other song.

Tchami - Promesses (feat. Kaleem Taylor)
I've been listening to this song for ages and suddenly a few days ago they removed it off Spotify, which I assume is because of it's release. Not sure how successful it'll be, as many of these kind of songs have been under-performing lately tbh.

I think Bobby Shmurda most likely chance at another chart hit is with Computers, since I've heard it a couple of times (never heard anything else by him that I know of). I wouldn't be surprised if he was a one-hit wonder though, it seems like the song is bigger than him as an artist, but in hip hop there are so many collaborations and remixes and sampling and that kind of thing that he could end up on another hit eventually.

I've thought this for a while personally. It's the sort of song that would get a big boost from any use on TV (especially X Factor, which I'd say is fairly likely at some point), it does amazing in streaming, and sold really well for ages just off Heart FM airplay. Not to mention it'll probably get remixes soon. I know it's spent ages in the chart already, but the same could be said of songs like Paradise by Coldplay or Telephone by Lady Gaga (which was top 100 for 4 months before it got #1 iirc). And yes, it's sold a lot already, but I think What's My Name? by Rihanna must've sold about 400,000 before it got to #1, so it's not impossible. I actually heard the song itself for the first time properly I think a couple of days ago, and I don't like it that much. Sounds more like a Bruno Mars song.

Songs that sound like desperate attempts to get a hit
I don't think Bang Bang was that desperate. It's the female version of New Flame, both songs just two poppy-R&B singers featuring a rapper.

Yeah, although Professor Green discounts post-album singles a lot! I think all three of the post-album singles last time got discounted, and from the one before that I think Jungle got discounted. Mr. Probz is also on 50 Cent's album, and I think the song might have got top 200 on iTunes.

If it gets played a lot on the radio, it will chart, if it doesn't get played much on the radio, it won't chart. I think it's possible Mr. Probz could get another chart entry on the back of the success of Waves, but it's by no means a guarantee. For example, the follow up to All Of Me didn't chart top 40.

Secondcity 'What Can I Do'
I don't love this anywhere near as much as I Wanna Feel personally. :(

I don't know what to make of the song. I like it, but it's quite strange (although the same can be said for Do It Like a Dude, which did very well in the charts).

I think if X Factor had their songs from the live shows eligible a few years ago when the show was (or seemed) more popular there would have been a couple to get #1.

Iggy Azalea / MØ 'Beg For It'
Is this the MØ who had a song with Krept & Konan?

Maybe if I mention L*** G*** again I get banned for a day or something? I think that'll get me to stop talking about him/her.
