  1. I'm not surprised Unforgettable is there. It's always been really high on other lists I've seen like on Kworb, etc. And wasnt it like #3 on the year-end chart behind Shape of You and Despacito? Also, it was a hit at the perfect time. Not too early when streams were low, but not too late that it's too recent to catch up to other songs. I honestly was half-expecting it to be there before I saw the list
  2. It might help Escapism hold at #2 on the year-end charts, Miracle and Sprinter are so close behind so any boost it gets can make all the difference.
  3. I predicted correctly (just about)! :D I can't remember what the vote totals were when I voted, but I do remember that 30,000 - 39,999 was not far behind in 2nd place.

By my count, Michael Jackson had 10 in the 2009 year-end album chart (but "only" 3 in the top 50).
  5. I don't think Katy Perry's decline was that big or that shocking. Like with Ed, the signs were there with Prism, the trend simply continued afterwards as expected. For example she released Unconditionally, it was a fully promoted single, just the same as her other songs, and it didn't do anywhere near as well as usual (she got SUPER lucky that she had an album track taking off at the same time so she avoided a lot of drama that she would've otherwise got for getting her first ever "flop" single as she got a huge hit immediately afterwards). She had 2 (or 3) big hits on Prism and then 1 on the album afterwards.
  6. I think he has lost popularity genuinely. The signs have been there for years now. I think he probably will get big hits again but probably from collabs. Or he might have a comeback in a few years like a lot of pop stars do. But I think his success will continue to decline for now.
  7. I think #1 and 30,000 - 39,999.
  8. I think maybe Bru-C - Streetside was the first one to appear in the charts? If you count that as a hit.
  9. Why do Chase & Status have 3 songs in the chart? I'm not complaining but that's so unexpected.
  10. That's possibly the catchiest song on the whole list. I listened to it hundreds of times when it came out. Kid Ink had banger after banger back then.
  11. Why does it say in the list that You Make Me Wanna was released in 2004? lol It was from like 1998, that's why he has 3 #1s and 3 decades. If he performs OMG at the Superbowl that might get a bit confusing.

In my opinion you should allow DNA testing for children in advance of puberty blockers. If a young boy has gender identity issues, and we find out he actually has XXY or XXXY chromosomes or something like that, then there'd be a LOT less controversy over him getting puberty blockers and maybe eventually transitioning. You can't argue with biology and an actual DNA test. People would understand it a lot more if it's someone who has an actual biological condition. If it's a "normal" kid people are worried they've been manipulated into it. And if it's found out that they have usual chromosomes then there should be mental health evaluations first before going to transition. A shockingly high amount of trans people have been victims of sexual abuse in early childhood, and it's at a MUCH higher rate than non-trans people. So that suggests being a victim of sexual abuse as a young child may cause gender identity issues in the victim. Correlation does not equal causation, but the correlation is there, so that needs to be addressed, it's harmful to ignore this fact, people out there are struggling and need help. And accidentally transitioning someone who temporarily thinks they might trans when they're really not will cause even more suffering to an already damaged person. Also, you guys can pretend to misunderstand what I'm saying all you want. But I'm not going to check this thread again (at least not for a few weeks), so ridicule me all you want. I know there will be people reading who will understand what I mean, that's what's important, and how we can resolve this issue.
  13. I think Tension and Get Outta My Way were the better songs, but I seem to be in the minority.
  14. Giving Me by Jazzy sounded like it used samples from like 5 other songs. I know it probably doesn't really, but every part of the song sounds extremely familiar.
  15. I don't pay that much attention to first-day Apple Music climbs, but those seem shockingly good for Kylie.
  16. I think #1 obviously. Probably 30,000+ sales. I'm surprised so many people are saying 60,000. That's a pretty elite figure these days.
  17. I've been to Spain a lot in recent years and I found English music was played a lot there. I even heard things like The Freemasons and Alexandra Burke and the like which wasn't even big in the US. In fact I heard quite little Spanish music at all. It perplexes me because their charts suggest completely different, although my suspicions are that the public places just play English music in tourist destinations (and maybe all those towns full of retired English people) to attract customers but probably not in the rest of the country. *I know someone is probably about to type the usual "Just because 1 bar you went to played English music it doesn't mean..." tripe you get on here sometimes, so I guess I will have to specify that I've probably been in 10+ towns for a combined total of 6+ months*

Well that's if you don't count Beg For You (which is a banger btw).
  19. Sorry I should have specified that I meant in the download era.
  20. I don't know, but Hometown Glory is no stranger to re-entering the charts.
  21. I can understand it. People, even working people, are struggling in pretty much every country in the world now. And the global elite harms every country, not just the US.

This is a great rule change. Although the Christmas thing, would that mark the first time ever that the OCC has had different rules for different types of song?
  23. Luke Combs' version of Fast Car has also done way better in the other Anglosphere countries compared to here. Although I guess it could still climb more in the UK.
  24. There's Need You Now and Mine by Glee Cast. There's also If I Die Young by Glee Cast, which I don't know what to say, because already 3 of them actually did pass away really young. And they probably had others too.

I voted for Pure Shores, Mad World and Lose Yourself.
