This was fantastic. I cringed at myself during his last speech, as I laugh at some failed x factor auditionees, but he's right, it is putting up people to be mocked like they did in victorian mental asylums. I dont think I'll find future failed auditionees so funny, Ill have much more sympathy now I think. The whole celeb culture thing was spot on and it's driven by the public. Whilst they buy the mags and watch the shows it will continue and if we,the public lay down with the devil then we only have ourselves to blame for the results. imho. I sometimes ask myself if it's worth watching all those reality shows just to have the occasional nugget of gold amongst all the desperation to be famous whatever the cost and means. Very few tv programs make me sit up and think seriously , Extras last night was one of them.

She has a fantastic voice for a 6 year old! (well 7 now). She would put a lot of todays adult acts to shame.! I agree though, that she shouldnt be pushed to much at all, I think her RC are aware of this.

in 10 years time?. Thats a compliment cosidering the shelf life of most acts these days.! Anyway MY opinion is that I think Leona deserves her position, a nice person and a great talent and hopefully will be a great ambassador for the UK when she cracks the states. its about time we had a home grown talent do very well over there, no matter what you think of her music, isnt it great to finally have someone with the potential to do hugley well over there and be up there with the most popular American acts?. I would have placed Connie Talbot in the top ten, but she's had almost no media coverage or airplay at all for her single(released this coming Monday). Otherwise I think youve got it almost right, not totally sure about Slade.

Well leona is pulling away from GA now I think its possible she'll be number one untill the X factor winner. But I agree, 10 weeks is not possible.
