  1. I was kinda expecting an announcement this week for a 9th February release, since Jade is rumoured to be March and I doubt it'll be pushed to April, especially if the GN rumours are true.
  2. Isn't it confirmed that at this point Jesy just left? No big goodbye or anything, her Management just informed them? I don't think Jesy, or her fans actually, have the right to be playing the victim - LM3 stated that Cut You Off was the result of therapy, and given what we know, there was nothing scathing in that song. It's just how it is. They had to cut her off to move on. Meanwhile this song is talking of "spreading rumours" and that there's a false narrative or whatever, meanwhile we literally know that this was all caused because LM3 approached Jesy about her excessive tanning. And Leigh (who this song is aimed at) hasn't perpetuated any rumours. She's actually been incredibly more graceful than she should have been IMO. It's a very childish result from a very childish woman. She doesn't have a leg to stand on and going down this route is not going to do her any favours.
  3. this has leaked btw. still doing that hard baby voice tho
  4. Insiders have said a few things in relation to Jade (and Perrie) Jade's album is apparently done, with the campaign starting around Q1 with a Q3 release - she had music all set ready to go at some point, but she didn't like it and it was scrapped. Perrie's album is almost done, similar release pattern to Jade's. I honestly do not think the label cares that Leigh/Jesy underperformed for several reasons; 1) - Jesy had a LOT working against her, due to her own shenanigans 2) - Leigh also has a lot working against her, due to things outside of her control - she has released two very good singles, it's just unfortunate that Leigh is the least popular from Little Mix. 3) - Labels will surely understand that creating these 4 separate pop careers is going to require patience, all 4 of them are probably part-funding it too (confirmed that Leigh, Jesy and Perrie at least are) 4) - Those labels are not the labels of Perrie and Jade. Those two were also the most popular within LM, so I think it'll be a diff outcome.
  5. a lot of nothingness tbh, but it does make very hyped - I'm most excited for Perrie cause she's probably the one without an obvious musical route. (and she's my fav) She must be next then, Perrie in early 2024 and Jade in Summer potentially?
  6. The melody sounds nice (and also familiar, it's very Love a Girl Right) but she's still hamming up that baby voice, it's very weird considering she found a nice balance during Glory Days/LM5
  7. What a ridiculous post? How have you been following the careers of popstars and think they have any control over their schedule? I think it's evident that Leigh's team aren't chasing a hit, for whatever reason they just aren't - Leigh has said herself they aren't chasing chart numbers specifically and she's just enjoying music. Why is everyone so mad? I get that it's a great song and it's not getting the exposure it deserves, but how is this Leigh's fault? Do you think Leigh herself sets up meetings with streaming/radio support people? Do you think she herself sends it to radio? Why are you blaming Leigh, and even saying she has a lack of want for her career? It's very obvious that Leigh has a hunger to succeed, but chart success is not the only way go about it, and in all honesty, she would be better off building her brand first, building a fanbase, releasing music quickly - all of which she has been doing. I just think it's ridiculous to sit and blame Leigh when she can't really do anything, there probably are things in the pipeline but not everything has to be so transparent, we've seen over the last few years that songs randomly blow-up and take off once the timing is right. What exactly do you want her to do? She's posting on socials, building her brand, being engaging with fans - what left is there to do in her power? Also, the conversation re: "Warner investing in another single" etc - you are all applying "new artist, no experience" criteria to Leigh. I can guarantee her contract with Warner included a full campaign for an album, she was a part of the biggest girl group in the world and has a decent bit of power behind her name, I don't think Leigh is going to be an artist who is strung along and eventually dropped. She has already stated there is an album, more than likely with another single (I believe she said there are 3 singles?) and on her Apple Music interview with MNEK, she said she has full creative control over her music - an artist who is going to be strung along and not supported would not get full control. Let's be real. Leigh may not be a huge huge name, but she was definitely able to iron out a solid contract for herself. The main event hasn't even happened yet. So much of the talk in these threads is basically applying things that would happen in 2015 to something that really isn't happening anymore. Artists who get signed pretty much manage to get an album out regardless of success.
  8. Perrie would also sound really good on like deep-soul house music, she can vocally keep up and deliver the type of soaring vocal that house music usually requires. There's a lot of avenues where Perrie can go, Leigh was so surprising and she fits so well with afrobeats/pop and Jade is probably going to go somewhat uk-dance, but Perrie can go wherever IMO.
  9. I actually don’t follow a lot of “stan” accounts (none actually outside of gays who happen to stan) But there’s a lot of larger accounts such as the “songs who changed history” account, the various music update accounts etc. Actually saying out loud who is tweeting about it is hard actually lol but I’ve seen a lot of buzz about it. Padam is completely different as people weren’t captivated by the song or video itself, more so the meme/viral aspect of it (that’s not saying the song wasnt paid attention to, cause it obvi was, but I mean when I saw Padam content it was related to memes and such, whereas what I’ve seen of My Love is people praising the aesthetic, the sound, choreo etc. but then again comparing them is silly because there’s nothing to compare)
  10. Saying there’s little hype for this is crazy. This is all over social media at the moment. The video really has connected with people, there are a lot of big accounts tweeting about it and a lot of people are enjoying the actual song too. Twitter hype doesn’t always extend to the charts, but it does create a lot of goodwill and excitement and it’s working for My Love.
  11. annoyingly, this song is way better than DSL but I don't think it's the vibe that the UK particularly like or would uphold whereas DSL was pure British radio through and through, so I can't say where I think it'll land. I do hope it semi-smashes though, the vibes, the vocals, the feature - all of it just works so well (But I do agree that Leigh's verses fall a little flat but that chorus is a complete earworm)
  12. Lostboy is also responsible for their own Gloves Up btw. He also co-wrote Miracle (Ellie & Calvin) and given the rumours that Jade is working with Calvin on his trance project, this could also be for that.
  13. what is wrong with that quote may I ask? it's just a cheeky throwaway comment (since a lot of groups tend to reunite when they need the money) that doesn't really mean anything, plus she gets asked the reunion question a lot.
  14. She’s doing ASMR (idk why but) — Quite interesting to see she has a home studio. Means she won’t have to shell out for studio fees (or the label). I feel like perries output will be quite consistent when she gets going. She seems like she really enjoys the authenticity of it all. Wouldn’t be surprised if her output is a bit Red-era Taylor/Janis Joplin/Carole King but with more vocal focus.
  15. I'm thinking Perrie. She seems to be almost done with her album. Jade may pounce next summer and Perrie in between (potentially late 2023/early 2024?)
  16. HHUK hasn't updated yet - none of the Friday releases are on there, although Monday is usually when it does update, so hopefully soon?
  17. troll! nah but I agree, the video seemed too dark and moody for this song - although I feel like since the second single continues the video (she apparently comes "out" of the water that starts the second single video) I'm guessing it's going to be lighter (the snippet of the second single sounds a bit funky/bass-led) The actual video itself is mid, I can't lie - she served some looks but she definitely shot herself in the foot by over-explaining the video and making it out to be something it wasn't (a Gaga tea, who said she has no impact!) I wish she had just kept quiet and it would've been a nice surprise. Either way, I can't see the video doing a disservice to the performance I'm just happy she's getting somewhere and seemingly getting overwhelmingly positive feedback. (as opposed to Jesy who was dragged teehee)
  18. Don’t they update it on Monday? None of the other songs released today are on there either
  19. It's out in NZ. It's v good, it's catchy - it's very radio friendly, I can't see this not smashing for her on at least one metric, I'm beginning to think it's going to debut higher than top 15 tbh. A solid 8/10, I wish the final chorus popped a little bit more, but the song has room to breathe and in all honesty, I could see a remix being released at some point (Potentially Raye?) One thing to note is that she doesn't sound "alone" on the song, like from Little Mix to Leigh, she sounds right at home and there's so much confidence and appeal coming from it. Jade and Perrie aren't missed on the song. If Perrie/Jade follow suite, we may have a girl group who are all releasing top tier music as solo artists, but we'll see. Either way Leigh has a potential smash on her hands and I hope it all works out.
  20. Top 15 debut, maybe #12/#13 Will maybe drop second week, start climbing and finally peak at #6, but hopefully #1 - #4 Streaming support is going to mean everything, so I'm hoping she has it + longevity.
  21. For some reason, I can't see this having a bigger burst chart impact than "Boyz", but I definitely see Leigh-Anne having more of a slow-burn approach. Potentially a top 15 debut with a top 5 peak? Whereas Boyz was top 5 and then died immediately. There was more hype for Boyz due to Nicki being on it (and I guess Jesy's name carried something back then during that initial tease) Leigh is doing this on her own, so I think tempering expectations is better than "challenging for 1" or "top 5 debut" but I'm happy to eat my words if she indeed does have a huge top 5 smash WW.
  22. I love how she's always like "whew no one is readyyyy for what we're cooking uuup" as if her solo career hasn't been painfully predictable. We know exactly what we're getting unfortunately
  23. Oh this sounds CRAZYYY good. Not what I was expecting but pleasantly surprised.
  24. Between Us is #28! Up from #35, quite a decent leap.
