  1. okay the more I think abt this the more i hate it? i thought they would've done male strippers with female ballers not... literally being men themselves.. coming off Sweet Melody and doing something like THIS is a mess.
  2. This is so odd.. on one hand I'm happy that Confetti is getting the single treatment, more than likely with a feature, and considering Jesy has a lot in the song, it will be interesting to hear. Although not totally sold on the concept of the video lol.. f*ck heartbreak anthem?
  3. maybe the voice will finally have a successful contestant if someone from Ariana's team wins?
  4. Spice Girls were nominated in 1997- but I agree that not giving it to them at the time was absolutely a mess considering what they achieved. Little Mix have longevity on their side too and the fact that award shows are slowly realising they are very male and white oriented, so hopefully Little Mix should be within a decent chance. It's sad though that their gender/race may be what gets them it but not the fact that they genuinely deserve the award for their records/achievements/talent/acclaim and had a better year than any of their peers.
  5. this is absolutely the funniest thing i've seen @1376310038688501760
  6. Sometimes I find myself not playing this as much, but when I do play it it's SUCH a rush, so insanely good. I really wish this had gotten the exposure it deserved and the music video it deserved too. I still get chills from that "era loading" video with the 80s keyboards in the background.
  7. did she not mean tonight at midnight? so from Wednesday that would be Thursday at midnight (basically a usual Friday US release)
  8. Perriechu posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
will absolutely boot off if Little Mix don't their best group nomination/win. No other group has had a better year than what they've had. (including the other years they were nominated too but I digress)
  9. What we should be getting at the least; Best Group What I want as well if they extend the criteria- Best Single And bring back Best Video too. Best Album nom would be cute as well since most of the noms are always like subpar albums with big sales, Dua will win this year though, it's just nice to see their name up there.
  10. i think the issue with Gloves Up was more to do with Maegan Cottone rather than the producer lol
  11. what narrative have I made up? Jade/Leigh/Perrie pretty much prefer to keep things a bit secretive, especially the former two, Perrie recently has let MTV & co trick her into thinking she's the "queen of leaking" which is another convo, whereas Jesy enjoys teasing fans, she always has, especially in her insta comments. I didn't say the girls were mad at her, because they evidently weren't, I was talking about the topic of "why is she sharing now when before she didn't", and before she didn't share as much cause she probably didn't want to ruin the surprises and excitement that the girls as a group had built up, whereas now it's only her. the only people who are making problems are the people on the side of "wow jesy is so fake she was lying!!!" mine was a simple observation based on previous events as a group.
  12. this & also Jesy was probably the person who "leaked" the most things when the girls didn't want her to (they were evidently a bit miffed about Strip being revealed when she blurted it out on their livestream) they enjoy being a bit secretive abt their work and Jesy doesn't, also Jesy just spent the last 9 years being relatively unhappy going into the studio to work on music she didn't like for the most part so it feels so weird to see people being like "UHHHH?" when she's sharing happy studio vids... like.... go outside
  13. i know it's off-topic lol but artists tend to perform the song that is nominated. Black Magic/Shout Out to My Ex/Woman Like Me all had best single noms when performed, however if they are performing this year but aren't nominated then hopefully it means a bit of freedom in their choice? (medley medley medley medley)
  14. she was apart of the biggest group in the UK and every time they did a Brit's performance she smashed it, it's not like she's a completely new artist, they know what her potential is and what type of performance factor she can bring to the stage. (the brits also looooved using their name for promo purposes) -- my sad little dream is for Jesy to announce the best group category and for little mix to win so they can all technically share the stage at that moment </3
  15. They'll get a nom for Best Group- hopefully album too? It wasn't the *best* album of the year, but I mean if Anne-Marie bagged a nomination they should be able to (Realistically Glory Days should've gotten a nom as it was eligible and was massive but..) If they extend the eligibility I can see them getting a Best Single nom, and if they bring back Best Video they'd bag that nomination too for Sweet Melody, and probs win it. If the above happened the only one they truly deserve to win is Best Group, groups can't be nominated in consecutive years so they'll be up against The 1975 again and Gorillaz I believe? London Grammar will be another one they're against. The Brits use them for promo and tweets every single year and always do them so dirty, they definitely deserve to win it this year (well they deserved the last 2 nominations too but..) A woman has not been involved in the winning group since 1987 when Five Star won. Little Mix winning would not only be massive and monumental for what female groups can achieve but also for what women of colour can achieve. The Brits would be very stupid to award a group of white men again after the year we've had surrounding diversity and representation. (Also besides that Little Mix deserve it the most out of any current UK group just for their talent/acclaim/success) As for the performance, would love a remake of the Sweet Melody video, or a medley of hits! We are long overdue a Little Mix medley at an awards show.
  16. that would be an incredible platform for her, imagine if she presented best group award to little mix too cause then all 4 would be on stage together :')
  17. honestly when will l*ttle m*x!!
  18. Yeah I agree, Jesy was always very included and she was also the face of the group for the most part, especially when it came to public speaking and affirming their place. She just didn't want to do certain things and the girl's respected that, they've always had very different tastes as far as music/sound goes.
  19. 22 songs on a Demi album is... very brave. She's not the most interesting artist ever, even with a past like hers her music still comes across as just.. stale and overdone. But she seems genuinely excited for this and Tell Me You Love Me was a decent album, and by Demi's standards, it was amazing. From the description it sounds like a Kacey Musgraves inspired album with the country/disco elements mixed with Demi's usual balladry. The cover is stunning though, so a small win there.
  20. i fully agree w/this- i want her to be successful but i'd rather this song stalls and then falls so she can realise this sound/lyricism isn't why people like her music
  21. wish she'd just announce something (but at the same time i don't want her to) i'm dying for her music regarding the names on the board- all of those people are established artists, but i imagine it is more of a moodboard scenario as they all make that sort of midtempo/moody r&b music that Jesy likes, Sinead Harnett is the original singer of "Be the One" that Jesy covered a while ago, so I imagine it's either potential collabs/writers/inspiration.
  22. strange that it's been pushed back that far- is this cause of David's involvement with Bed & Bang Bang?
  23. the extra production in the chorus is going to end me, just from that horse girl trailer I am already foaming at the mouth for it
  24. considering SOTME has over 500m streams on spotify overall it's quite interesting to see that over half of them are from outside of the UK the same w/Black Magic as well- their longevity outside of the UK is so impressive for a group considered "local" for not having massive obvious hits elsewhere..
