they heard a demo and liked it. Trash inheritely isn't a good song, but Little Mix made it work, if you listen to the original demo, it's awful and has no appeal. Mabel, Becky, and yes, to an extent Raye, aren't cemented personalities, as talented as they are their music comes across faceless, they haven't established a lot. Becky can SING but everything else is quite boring, Raye can write really well and sing decent too, but she's not a performer or a "personality", Mabel is still quite.. average in all areas. Jade (and the other girls) have cemented all aspects, so yes, they are in completely different leagues, but then again, their backgrounds are different, but Little Mix using a Mabel demo (and making it 10x better) isn't a drag.

to be fair, they did have 3 top 10s as a trio and a #1 as they hit trio status but i get your point. the release window of No was really dumb.. but either way, if they push anything next year I can see that going next year, since I imagine they're back at "work" from the New Year - tour.

I think overall it’s LM5, it’s the most cohesive even though Glory Days and Confetti house their best songs but pretty much all of the songs on LM5 are listenable for me Glory Days isn’t enjoyable until the second half- the dumb doowop sound ruins it and Confetti is ruined by 80% of the second half being really boring and not having any contribution from the girls themselves. Breathe & A Mess save the second half of that album.

This is v accurate. It's also worth pointing out that Perrie didn't lipsync (besides choruses) on the Get Weird tour, and well we heard the damage it caused to her voice - I don't mind that they occasionally lipsync with the amount they bounce around and dance. Jesy was always the worst for lipsyncing as she is so bad at it - Jade lipsyncing the Wasabi verses doesn't surprise me considering the choreo she was doing (whilst it isn't hard choreo there's a lot of core work involved) They lipsync more on tour due to the above reasons - although on TV a lot of what they do is live, unless it's a big dance-based performance (some of Woman Like Me was live, more specifically Perrie at the end) Every artist lipsyncs - Beyoncé even does it, a lot (she's just very good at it) but we know she can still SING because she's proven it enough times - but her vocals go hard on choruses and there's no point in singing a live chorus if it's not a ballad/midtempo/low energy song

tbh the vocals were a tiny bit.. rough BUT considering this was their second attempt after breaking down and crying I don't blame them (trying to sing, especially controlling your airflow after crying/verge of crying is so hard) it was still gorgeous and i'm so proud of them

Also funnily enough from what we know Perrie has the least going on, so I doubt it was one member pushing for it. a break at this point is expected. I was sad when they announced it but it was totally expected, I can’t wait to have solo projects from 3 insanely talented women and then for them to come back with a huge era in 2 or 3 years.

I agree with this - Between Us using the photoshoot as the video (which I think is what the actual Between Us video is) would've been a lot better - they could've even added a few jingles and passed it off as a Christmas single too. Then they could've released No around March/April with a solid, choreo-based video and then went into the tour.

It had excellent playlisting and was released during the summer. plus it wasn’t released at a time where they were oversaturated.

Like 50m of that 65m came from Get Weird onwards though. They’ll get to 90m eventually its silly to think they won’t. But also the spice girls will gradually rise too but I think LM will eventually overtake being the more “current” group and having more channels on their side.

they were probably desperate for her to have a hit so they put everything they could into it - also RCA are pretty shit 90% of the time.
