Some good noms coming in here that I'd have nominated myself otherwise. Remind me how the new year's "autoqualifiers" get decided? It always seems a more poppy AQ list in the first year, before some indie and alt stuff makes its way in after the first year of actual voting.

Happy to get 2 points for Iris, was a bit of a Eureka moment when that came to mind (even if still wrong in the grand scheme of things!) On the flipside, gutted to get 0 for John Travolta on an (admittedly correct) technicality, thought that was one of my safer answers!

I'm doing terribly as expected but this is great fun, thank you for all the work that's gone into this results presentation! Eva Cassidy and Go are both answers that seem obvious now I know them, but probably wouldn't have come to me even with a few more hours staring at the questions!

Fontaines and Westside Cowboy both hanging on to their respective milestones 😍😍😍

I imagine the Dolly Parton entries might narrowly deny Fontaines a Top 20 singleand perhaps Westside Cowboy a Top 5 album, but really good performances by both either way

I've been trying since the day I saw them on Jools (admittedly a bit behind the curve since I watched on iPlayer)... all their UK shows fully sold out. Even had a look at some overseas ones, also sold out! A guitar band with this much buzz around them in the 00s would have had a couple of top 10 singles by now!

Westside Cowboy 🙌🙌🙌 Not been this happy to see an album top 3 in the midweeks since Royston Club! Best new band of the year for me (not that it's a crowded field these days 😥) Also pleased to see Fontaines hold at 15 from Sunday to Monday. Bodes well for a new highest charting song.

Been absolutely obsessed with Westside Cowboy (and trying unsuccessfully to get tickets for any UK show) since I saw them on Jools the other month. If there's any justice they'll be huge

Not these days but pretty much every man and woman from my parents' generation knew it. (And then it had a million selling cover in the 90s by Robson and Jerome but we don't need to talk about that)

They made the result a bit obvious with Jack's hyping and the huge amount of time left at end of the show. Pretty underwhelmed about our new record. RMI is more of a One Dance than it is an Everything I Do... or an I Believe in terms of recognition and memorability

The way Jack's been talking, he's set up the show to be a huge anticlimax if RMI doesn't get the record
