First time hearing SĀ£&! (reposting message with censored title so it doesn't get deleted š ) - it's not grabbing me at all. Would have been filler on 1989.

Record of the Decade: 2013-2022 - The Final Results
If I'm not mistaken, interesting that not a single song from last year's top 10 dropped out, only 2 songs no longer eligible. Buzzjack pretty consistent in what we like!

Overall pleased with the quality of the Top 4 and the top few new entries. Thanks to the hosts, as usual my favourite thread of the year!

Are Style and Blank Space on perma-ACR, but Out Of The Woods isn't as it never charted? If so, potentially Out Of The Woods will be above those two on Friday and thus in her top 3?

Relieved Save Your Tears is gone. Pretty good top 4 all in all. Would love Faded to win, failing that Physical.

(Assuming it's the version originally played on Radio 1 and they haven't made a new edit...)

I was just thinking last night, will they ever release Mother Nature. It's gorgeous, will buy today.

Was Fat Of The Land 1997? I remember Firestarter and Breathe being 1996 so assumed the album was then too. Tbf I could have gone for 1997 purely on the basis of OK Computer!

Also boo at every year between 1995 and 2000 getting points except for my answer 1996! Mid-Britpop, strong for dance (Children, Insomnia, Born Slippy, Fat Of The Land, Dig Your Own Hole) and the start of the Spice Girls... and Three Lions... Also happened to be the first year I got really into the charts, which might better explain my vote

Did everyone refer to Google for parts of this or are you all complete chart geniuses?!

Record of the Decade: 2013-2022 - The Final Results
Catching up on a fair bit here... Glad to see Happier Than Ever climb, it'll always be near the top end of my vote and hope it reaches the Top 10 soon. I like the stability of the bottom part of the Top 10, gets a bit confusing if there's too much inconsistecy year on year! But having said that, excited for a new winner. Blinding Lights has never made my votes at all, whereas several still to come did get votes from me (Physical and Faded were towards the top so I hope one of them wins overall). The only negative of the Blinding Lights drop is that I think Save Your Tears is grossly overrated so am disappointed to see it so high, and now the Weeknd's top song.

Record of the Decade: 2013-2022 - The Final Results
In contrast to the above posters, most of the songs I like (with the very notable exception of Wolf Alice) seem to be moving in the right direction. Great jumps for Shum and Mirrors, shame it's the last year for Mirrors, it could have sneaked top 10 if it had kept up the momentum!

Jings, as someone who treats these quizzes as "closed book", I expect a lot of my answers / guesses will be incorrect!

A very strong quintet there... sad at the big drop for Last Man On Earth, but think that more reflects its surprisingly high debut position last year rather than #43 being in any way a bad showing!

Record of the Decade: 2013-2022 - The Final Results
Catching up after a couple of days - Some great results to follow the Kill v Maim climb, especially the Don't Delete The Kisses climb (though I rate Last Man... (and Silk, and a couple of others) a fair bit higher), the Out Of The Woods climb, and the Doomscroller entry! Agree it's crazy how a virtually unknown song, relative to everything else in this vote, has gone straight in so high. Occasionally this thread introduces me to brilliant songs I've never heard before, and this is the latest example.

Unbelievable that I had no idea for the last 3 haikus, so guessed Barbie for the two that weren't Barbie and something else for the one that was 𤣠Also either some participants take an open book approach, or your collective knowledge of the 2023 charts (albums in particular) is phenomenal!

Record of the Decade: 2013-2022 - The Final Results
Loving the big climb for Kill v Maim, a song that ROTD first introduced me to a few years back. I was intrigued to see where Afraid To Feel would land, thought it could be potential Top 20 as a lot of people seemed to quite like it at the time... but if only 12 voters included it in their lists, the popularity was less widespread than I thought.

I think Faded has done very well... but then I think that every year... must be a title my eyes automatically pick out when I'm scanning everyone's votes!
