  1. Let Down is one of my absolute favourite songs of all time. Not sure whether to be happy or nervous if it's getting big on TikTok. Wouldn't want to hear it played to death ala RUTH!

+5 Steve's Lava Chicken +4 Sports Car +3 Love Me Not +2 Anxiety +1 Ordinary -1 Pink Pony Club -2 Beautiful Things -3 Show Me Love -4 Busy Woman -5 Azizam
  3. The new Sleep Token doesn't sound as much of a hit as Emergence and Caramel, I expect it to still go Top 40 but more in the 30-40 area than Top 10.

  5. Ooh more Sleep Token. Also new Arcade Fire, Lorde, Yungblud and Linkin Park so potentially a lot to like this week
  6. Agree with the comment about Mood Ring - deserved to be her biggest hit since Pure Heroine!
  7. Just realised - are we a couple of weeks away from a Spotify chart where the entire top 10 are on ACR? The fact that's even a possibility says it all about how mind-numbingly dire the charts have become.

Horrendous top 10 from my p.o.v. I used to like my +5 and don't like any of the others. +5 Beautiful Things +4 Sports Car +3 Ordinary +2 Anxiety +1 Pink Pony Club -1 Love Me Not -2 Show Me Love -3 Busy Woman -4 Bad Dreams -5 Azizam

Probably the biggest gap between my +5 and +4 ever! +5 Caramel +4 Beautiful Things +3 The Giver +2 Pink Pony Club +1 Sports Car -1 Ordinary -2 Anxiety -3 Show Me Love -4 Busy Woman -5 Azizam
  10. Not sure if I'm fully sticking to the rules here but... Blur - The Universal (film production) Deep Blue Something - Breakfast at Tiffany's (diamonds) Survivor - Eye Of The Tiger (beer) Robbie Williams - Candy (90s electronics?)
  11. New Pulp, Arcade Fire, Divine Comedy, Kula Shaker and Doves this week! Indie fans dream!

  13. So happy at the way Caramel is holding on. Do we think there's enough songs above it that are on ACR, or that it might have enough of a headstart from Friday, to stay Top 10 on Friday?
  14. A worthy winner - instantly recognisable, and a soundtrack to my teenage parties despite them being a decade later than the song came out. Thank you King Rollo for a very enjoyable rate!
  15. Nooooo. The thing I wanted most in this rate was for the brilliant Disco 2000 to finish as the top indie / 90s track ahead of Creep, which imo is the one grossly overrated single by an otherwise incredible band. I was actually low key hoping Disco 2000 might win. Still, 4th is pretty good.
  16. Really interesting to see the #2 rate, which is the one before I started taking part. My vote would likely have pushed Children, Common People, Born Slippy, Set You Free, Let It Be and Tender up the most!
  17. One is fantastic, deserved top 10 here. Though the less said about the unnecessary remake with Mary J Blige, the better. Perhaps that counted against it. I'm With You and Basket Case also stand-outs. I thought Boulevard... was quite an underwhelming winner of the #5s rate, for me Basket Case winning this would have felt more fitting, it feels like their most iconic track.

+5 The Giver +4 Beautiful Things +3 Abracadabra +2 Sports Car +1 Carry You Home -1 Pink Pony Club -2 Anxiety -3 Pink Pony Club -4 Busy Woman -5 Bad Dreams
  19. And now two excellent modern-era songs. Granted Faded is over 10 years old now but still sounds pretty timeless to me!

Dreadful top 10 all in all. Would have been better if PPC and Beautiful Things were new rather than decades old. +5 The Giver +4 Beautiful Things +3 Abracadabra +2 Sports Car +1 Evil Jordan -1 Pink Pony Club -2 Ordinary -3 Rather Lie -4 Busy Woman -5 Anxiety
  21. Woahhhh new Wet Leg?! Didn't know this was happening! Is it the kead single from a new album do we know? Likewise Linkin Park is that from a new album or a deluxe of the existing?
  22. Two classic songs there from Alanis and The Verve. And controversy from Mango! I do agree that the singles are disproportionately outstanding compared to the rest of the album. But I've got to give a shout out to Velvet Morning at least, it's gorgeous. Also didn't realise til reading Wikipedia just now that Urban Hymns sold quarter of a million copies in its first week, I thought it was a bit of a sleeper hit.
  23. Dancing In The Moonlight is one of my least favourite songs ever, never mind in this rate, so I'm pleased to see it not troubling the upper reaches!

I haven't heard any of this week's new entries thanks to there being no chart show, so whether I vote this week depends on whether I get round to listening to them!
  25. I first got aware of White Lines by noticing in the Guinness Hit Singles book that it had a crazy long chart run for something that only peaked at 7 (rare back in those days, not so much now!) And glad I did as it's a stone cold classic
