Didn't expect Thank U would make it but as we got closer my hopes were growing. Sad to see it fall. On the other hand, delighted Heat Waves hasn't made it. Painful to listen to after so much overplay.

OK so I gave this 22 points thinking it was Maid Of Orleans 🤦‍♂️🤣 I'd never heard this song until now! Luckily I quite like it...!

Love loads of these but gave +3 to Radio Gaga as if I could pick one song to do really well it would be that. Bo Rhap, I Want To Break Free and Hammer To Fall would have been in the mix for +1s had I spread things out.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, a lot more people voted for Charmless Man than on On Your Own. I'm intrigued whether that's mostly because people have only heard Charmless Man, or mostly because people know both and genuinely prefer Charmless Man. For me they should clearly be the other way round, but Blur were less mainstream come the back end of the 90s so I suspect On Your Own is less well known. I'm clearly one of the few who would put that Taylor song in my top 10 of favourite Taylor songs!

Strong top 5. I'd probably prefer to listen to Easy On Me rather than As It Was or BOTA, but given that it's a song you'd associate with 2021 not 2022, I think this top 5 is spot on.

Ugh. I haven't enjoyed anything by Ava Max and The Motto felt like a particularly lazy effort. The love for her music, and for this song in particular, has always puzzled me. Oh well. Don't feel as if any other songs were particularly deserving winners... a weak year for the 20-11 zone in general. Thank you for running the rate!
