+5 Anti Hero +4 Merry Christmas +3 Firebabe +2 Messy In Heaven +1 All I Want For... -1 Last Christmas -2 Escapism -3 Made You Look -4 Rocking Around... -5 It's Beginning...
  2. Thank you for running the rate! Loved it as ever, and Wolf Alice finishing 17th(!!) is my highlight of any rate I've taken part in so far
  3. Great to see We Are Young finish so high too - another of my very favourite "big hit" songs if the decade. Loving 20-11 so far, probably more than I'll love 10-1!
  4. Last Man On Earth is arguably my favourite song of the decade full stop, and most certainly my favourite to appear in this final, so I'm absolutely ecstatic and amazed to see it voted into the top 20! Happier Than Ever is also my absolute favourite "big hit" from last year and probably of the decade. Possibly hoped it might sneak into the top 10 but can't argue with top 20. What a pairing!
  5. Suspect we might see a Taylor song or two make the top 20 next year... The rate seems a bit more stable this year? If memory serves by this point last year, songs from the previous year's Top 5 had been falling out. Wolf Alice top 20 🤯. Safe to say I'll never have a more successful nomination ever again!
  6. Firstly, mind blown at some of these songs that BJ has ranked Wolf Alice higher than! Secondly, sad to see Exile out a little lower than I thought it might be, seemed to be having a very strong year. Pleased with a new peak for Habits. Less so with a new peak for Levitating, which I think is Dua's worst hit by a distance.
  7. I won't have time to vote in this (going on holiday tomorrow sans phone til after the 30th) but my +40 would have been JLS (just atrocious) and my +2 would have been Teletubbies (nostalgic) and +1 Come On You Reds (guilty pleasure from childhood)
  8. Crazy to see Last Man In Earth outperform even Seventeen Going Under from the 2021 intake! I like all 5 of the songs that have just fallen, though since this rate introduced me to Saint Claude by CATQ, that's now become my favourite song by her instead of Tilted.
  9. Some gooduns out in that 60-56 stretch, particularly Try. I'm one of those people (seemingly not alone) who really rates 212 despite not generally being a fan of the genre(s) it comes from. Another Love certainly deserves to be in the Top 100.
  10. Blink and 1975 both over 200k - I'll take that

    +5 BOTA +4 Celestial +3 Unholy +2 Forget Me +1 Cuff It -1 I'm Good -2 Under The Influence -3 Bad Habit -4 I Ain't Worried -5 Super Freaky Girl
  12. Hope blink can make an impact tomorrow. Just noticed that on YouTube the Queen video has 17k views so far but 23k likes...? An error in counting the views?
  13. "New" Queen song with Freddie has been released according to the news... is that likely to show up anywhere?
  14. Out Of The Woods and Shum are both songs I'd never listened to until this year's rate... I ended up giving both solid points. Discovering new songs is one of the reasons this is always such a good thread!
  15. Always a little surprised to see how mediocre-ly Royals has done on here, given how popular Lorde is and that this remains her signature song. Other than that, not too sad about any 80-71 departures, most of my faves are still alive.
  16. Love Wolf Alice making the top 90 and still having another, even better, song to come. A few in this section that I'm not fussed about, but Never Really Over is my favourite Katy Perry song so pleased to see that do quite well.
  17. 🤣

+5 BOTA +4 Forget Me +3 Big City Life +2 Unholy +1 Ferrari -1 I'm Good -2 Under The Influence -3 I Ain't Worried -4 Bad Habit -5 Super Freaky Girl The fact that the genuinely offensive Under The Influence is only my -2 says it all! Major top 10 refresh needed soon please!
  19. Happy enough with that being the bottom 10, would have liked Perfect Places and particularly Bury A Friend to be higher, but none of main faves have fallen yet. Hadn't heard Doing Time til I checked it out for this year's rate, but not one of Lana's best in my opinion.
  20. What time was Body Paint released yesterday? Interesting to know how many hours it had, to know if #69 is good, bad or meh
  21. Body Paint is superb. Touch wood top 20? New Ed Sheeran song gives me Coldplay vibes
  22. Have Arctic Monkeys, Paramore, Ed Sheeran all released new songs on a Thursday? Annoys me when acts do that!
  23. Ah I've just caught up with the nominations threads - was very late coming to this rate so if I missed the chance to vote it onto the shortlist I can't really complain! (Except complain at everyone else for thinking there were 25 worse #1s during this period...)
  24. I've just realised that Alexandra Burke's absolute mauling of Hallelujah isn't in this list. Howwwwww?!?! It would have been my +25 by a country mile. Literally the only good thing to come from it was the belated charting of Jeff Buckley's brilliant version at #2 in protest.
  25. +16 Sugababes vs Girls Aloud - Walk This Way (2007) +7 The Proclaimers featuring Brian Potter and Andy Pipkin - I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) (2007) +8 Sean Kingston - Beautiful Girls (2007) +1 Leon Jackson - When You Believe (2007) +17 Kid Rock - All Summer Long (2008) +18 Dizzee Rascal - Dirtee Disco (2010) +5 Shout For England featuring Dizzee Rascal and James Corden - Shout (2010) +25 JLS - The Club Is Alive (2010) +19 Alexandra Burke featuring Laza Morgan - Start Without You (2010) +9 The Black Eyed Peas - The Time (Dirty Bit) (2010) +14 Jason Derulo - Don’t Wanna Go Home (2011) +2 Cher Lloyd - Swagger Jagger (2011) +15 Sak Noel - Loca People (2011) +4 X Factor Finalists - Wishing On A Star (2011) +22 Chris Brown - Turn Up The Music (2012) +3 One Direction - One Way Or Another (Teenage Kicks) (2013) +24 Will.I.Am featuring Cody Wise - It’s My Birthday (2014) +20 Cheryl featuring Tinie Tempah - Crazy Stupid Love (2014) +6 Gareth Malone’s All Star Choir - Wake Me Up (2014) +13 Charlie Puth featuring Meghan Trainor - Marvin Gaye (2015) +12 The Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Choir - A Bridge Over You (2015) +21 Lil Dicky featuring Chris Brown - Freaky Friday (2018) +11 Michael Ball, Captain Tom Moore and The NHS Voices of Care Choir - You’ll Never Walk Alone (2020) +23 Drake - Toosie Slide (2020) +10 Ladbaby featuring Ed Sheeran and Elton John - Sausage Rolls For Everyone (2021)
