Happy Ending is probably my favourite Mika song. I really enjoy Roy's version of I Drove All Night, probably should have given it more points. Despite loving Sigur Ros and also loving some of Chicane's work, Poppiholla never really clicked with me.

Already lost my top 2 and my favourite new discovery from this semi final 😥. Though I did put Pulp artificially low and I think they'll be just fine...

Looking at the list of who's got through, I realise that almost all my favourites have gone and the small number of songs in this rate that I actively dislike have got through! Hoping for better in the second semi! Also I propose Love Inc autoqualify for the final for having four weeks at their peak position of 7! @jimwatts thanks for pointing out that Tonight Tonight actually climbed to its peak in its second week. No memory of that (though I was only 10 at the time!) but extraordinarily rare for indie / rock songs to do that in the second half of the 90s!

Tonight Tonight has stuck with me ever since I first heard it the week it entered at 7 on the chart show. Absolutely epic song, glad it got this far but for me it definitely deserved to make the final

I love Bloc Party and do know this song but it's not one my favourites of theirs. It'll probably make my votes in the semis though, seeing as a lot of my absolute faves have already fallen. (It's still better than The Prayer, which along with Supermassive Black Hole is an example of one of my favourite bands getting their highest peak with my least favourite single they ever did!)
