  1. Nothing Lasts Forever is magnificent and by far my favourite in this SF. "Time's running out the door you're running in" is a particularly memorable lyric.

  6. Sombr is approximately a million times better than the other two current #1 contenders
  7. Appreciate it's just luck of the draw, but this SF is so much weaker than the first SF, my +15 from SF1 would be my +24 here. Some of the songs that will get through here while Many Of Horror and Famous Last Words fell at the death in SF1 🙈🙈...
  8. Agree! My +25 and +22, agonising to see them fall so near the finish line
  9. Rein Me In was meh at first and is now insufferably boring. So Easy has been insufferable since the first time I heard it. And DTMF is OK. Not a top 3 I'm particularly motivated for this Friday.
  10. Nooooo what is Flux doing out already? From skimming through everyone's scores I thought it had done better than that. Romeo and Juliet is also a great song (which I first got into via a cover by The Killers if anyone remembers their offcuts album?), would also have liked to see that in the final.
  11. Ah just realised I got Affirmation mixed up with a different song - should have given it a few points. In hindsight should also have given Windmills... a few points, for its appearance in Alan Partridge if nothing else. Wouldn't have been enough to put either through anyway.

  13. 10 of my top 12 highest pointers made it through to the semi finals. 9 of those 10 appear in this semi! Imagine that means a fair few of them will fall 😥

  17. Ah so my 30 pointer made it through without needing the wildcard, wasn't sure it would have. Turn is the only song close to the cutoff line I'm regretting not bunging a few extra votes to
  18. New Metric 😍😍😍
  19. Ahh I could easily have given Turn a few more points and now regretting not doing it. Probably my favourite Travis song. Pleased that Don't Marry Her, Jump Around and Blame It On The Boogie haven't made it - all 'classics' but ones that I've never really got on board with.
  20. Boo at Crossfire not making it. Certainly in my top 3 Killers-related songs
  21. What's the situation with standing tickets? When I went to Radiohead at the O2, good seats were mid-200s but standing (which imo is always by far the best way to attend a gig) was just 85!
  22. That's a proper tough tongue twister!
  23. Always had a soft spot for The Call, glad to see it get a good haul of points. No big losses for me in this latest batch though
  24. How fussed do we think he (not his label!) is about commercial performance? That's twice now in four albums he's chosen to lead with a >5 minute song that's a bit leftfield. I'm all for it - far fewer huge names in music now than there were in the past, so you hope they do something interesting since they're the only ones who could get away with it
  25. Also wondering if there's been precedent of this before, and what happened? Did OCC somehow find out the actual streams, or use estimated streams, or just treat it as zero streams?
