I'm looking forward to this change. Friday releases means I'll spend more because I'm in a better mood than on Monday's ;) AND I'll finally start listening to the charts again!!! I can't spend 3 hours of my life listening to it on Sunday's, BUT... I can now listen to it at work and because it's only 2 hours, there won't be as much shit music played :P

You forget the 100k+ it's sold before release that will be added to the total this week.

With pre-orders being about 100k, 'first day sales' will be about 150k with a peak of 250-300k by the end of the week me thinks.

I have been crying out for this for YEARS! Makes complete sense. It looks odd (especially with the singles chart) where sales are at an all time high but according to BPI and MW, hardly anything is Platinum, Gold or Silver. I'm very happy.

I think they care more about getting as much money as they can from sales, then seeing people steal their music because they don't want to wait for it.
