The Hit Factory Top 40 Singles Chart + Top 40 Albums
Hi Martin, I haven't heard the new Kylie song, but everybody is saying it's rubbish. BUT I am suffering from insomnia at the moment so it might help  Just incase you were wondering why 'ISBLY' is charting.... the reason is as follows. 25 years this year, I started my top 10 singles chart with 'ISBSL' at No.1, 25 years this year Kylie entered the UK charts. So to celebrate, every month I will chart 'release' my favourite album track from each Kylie album. :cheer: :yahoo: :w00t:

Official Chart rules change
I didn't say it was MW fault, I was just saying the system is a mess and they need to sort it out. MW could actually just put the icons on songs that they know have sold over 200,000k + copies.
-
Official Chart rules change
I think they should change their awards system. It's crazy reading music week seeing that according to MW no singles have gone silver, gold or platinum. To the naked eye singles are not selling, but they are! just award singles.

The End Of HMV
IMO they have killed themselves. They were so slow to embrace online. By the time they got their act together it was too late. Play, Amazon etc got in there first and won the respect of it's customers. HMV have been playing catch up ever since. They didn't help themselves when they did launch their website when they couldn't get deliveries right. So many missing items, taking too long to arrive etc. Pricing is another very big issue. I used to work for HMV years ago too, and I have the biggest respect for them so when I need to buy a CD, Blu Ray, download etc I always go to HMV first because I believe it's important for them to be around, but their pricing themselves out of the game. (don't laugh) but recent things I've wanted to buy. Prisoner Cell Block H DVD (Amazon £13, HMV £39) Kylie Sing & Dance (Amazon £18, HMV £25) This Means War Blu Ray (Amazon £11, HMV £23) So with them 3 items alone, I have saved £45 by NOT shopping at HMV. People are catching on to how they have save money and this is not helping the likes of HMV who see themselves as some sort of premium retailer. I will be VERY sad to see them go, but at the end of the day, this is THEIR doing.

Music Week 60th anniversary brochure
I got it and was hoping for a lot more. It's pretty crap to be honest. More ads than a good read. BBC4 did a fantastic show on the charts yesterday. That was amazing and did the charts a better service.

iTunes Album Chart: 2013
No1 is possible for Kylie.... Was not expecting anywhere near that! My brother in law doesn't like Kylie but he loved Never Too Late on the Jonathan Ross show.
