Sideout

Unless the girls do some major tv interviews as a group to promote Spice 25, I don't see it re-entering the top 10 album chart. Can anyone think of an anniversary edition of an album re-entering the top 10?

None of the girls except Melanie C has been into touring. It shouldn't be a surprise most of them don't want to do a proper 6 months world tour. Can you blame them? Their legacy is pretty much set in stone. They have millions in the bank. We should be happy for them that they don't have to work their butt off at their age. How many other artists get screwed over and are forced to tour to make ends meet?

You really believe Spice Circle/DenDen has that much power? Sure, Jan.

How do you know this? Do tell!

58,000 streams for the Wannabe demo is downright terrible. It makes me wonder if 90% of Feed Your Love streams are from die hard fans. Which means Feed Your Love streams are going to come to a halt after its shine wears off with the fans in a few more weeks. I have doubts we will get the Say You'll Be There demo with Mel B's rap now.

Feed Your Love 361,618 Wannabe (Demo) 58,547 Yikes at the Wannabe demo numbers. They should have tagged it as the Spice World movie version. It probably would get more streams that way. Oh well

I don't see Geri doing a huge world tour. It's easier for the girls to stick to the UK and USA. There is a ton of money on the table to make from touring. Especially in markets they haven't been to since 1998. Japan Germany France Brazil Australia South Korea China Canada Are all countries they should tour, but we know they wont. Maybe in 5-10 years they will do a farewell tour and go to the countries they normally don't go to.

Teddy Riley definitely gave Mel B bottom of the barrel songs. Maybe he initially wanted to work with Mel, but they just didn't get along in the studio. Piers is right about Riley's material on Michael Jackson 's Invincible album. Whatever Happens, Don't Walk Away, 2000 Watts all are quite different from one another. Darkchild's material can sometimes sound the same. It's too bad Riley didn't give Mel a nice rnb ballad. That's one thing that is missing from Hot. Lullaby ain't it

I agree Sammy. I prefer The Sea as well. I feel there's a little more substance on The Sea than Melanie C. Think About It, Drown, Burn, Weak and Enemy are some of my favorite Mel C songs.

Most anniversary deluxe editions from artists don't get much promo outside of social media. These type of releases are targeted towards die hard fans. I'm not gonna expect much promo from the girls themselves

Maybe you should practice what you preach and not be deliberately antagonistic. Let's move on, shall we.

There's a huge difference between sales and streaming when talking about a legacy act. You didn't say which one you were referring to. Other members didn't know what you were referring to either. So no, I was not being deliberately antagonistic.

Boosting sales in 2021????????? It's not the 90's anymore. Sales haven't been a thing for quite a few years now. It's all about streaming numbers now. Those are the new sales.

As Posh would say, "Exactly!" It's all about streaming numbers. In order to boost your streaming you have to release new music. Look at what Melanie C's last album did for her streaming numbers. Hence, this is probably why Universal was able to convince the girls to release demos from the archives. Otherwise, they would just release a new album instead. It doesn't seem like we will ever get that 4th studio album, which is a real shame.

Let's be honest, they don't have much of a discography to boost. They have 13 singles and 19 album tracks. It's not like they have a ton of forgotten hit singles they can remind the general public of like Madonna or Janet Jackson.

Here's Melanie C's last album current streaming stats. Who I Am 3,027,031 Blame It On Me (Acoustic) 2,413,193 Blame It On Me 2,007,535 In And Out Of Love 1,847,546 High Heels 1,646,926 Into You 928,753 Overload 871,944 Overload (Todd Terry Remix) 860,335 Fearless 498,642 The rest of the album tracks haven't crossed the 400,000 mark. Emma's recent streaming stats Baby Please Don't Stop 1,408,367 Come Away With Me 613,698

Feed Your Love is currently at 311,643 streams. That is an average of 28,331 streams per day since it was released.

I can't wait until November. I really want to hear Likely Stories. I imagine it's not as dirty as we think due to Feed Your Love not being as risque as it was rumored. I'm so happy Melanie C is now the "b-sides are lovely little demos" girl. I think the 2019 tour really changed things for Melanie. She's been 100% Spice Girls positive ever since.

She's talking about the producer Teddy Riley.

Spice Circle will complain about anything. The main complaint I've heard is that the song is kind of like a solo Mel B song. Mel B has the least amount of solo material so I'm perfectly fine with her having most of the vocals on Feed Your Love. Not to mention Mel B sounds outstanding on the track. Her vocals are like butter. Biff mentioned that if the song had been released back in the day he probably would have added some Mel C adlibs. Honestly, I don't really think the track is Melanie C's cup of tea. I'm not surprised she didn't record any solo lines for the demo. You can tell Mel B and Geri were the main songwriters of the song. It's interesting listening to the demo of 2 Become 1 after Feed Your Love. The song is still great as a demo, but the final production touches really elevate the demo into the iconic song it is today. Who knows what final touches Biff would have done to Feed Your Love had it been released in 1996.

I agree. I highly doubt their team is going to do much until October. Maybe the girls will do some major promotion for Spice 25, but I'm not going to hold my breath. Hopefully we get 4 or 5 never before heard tracks with Spice 25. I'm really curious how many goodies they are going to include.

I had no idea Absolute worked with GEM. Is the Orange fan going to leak this song now that we know about it? Or does he only have connections to get Eliot Kennedy songs?

Still Got It (Without Posh & Sporty) I can't at a GEM song being registered during the 25th anniversary. Too funny!

New unreleased song has been registered. Very intriguing. Still Got It Mel B Emma Geri Absolute https://www.ascap.com/repertory#/ace/search/workID/912293453 Spice Girls or GEM? :P

Feed Your Love is currently at 202,834 streams.
