Melanie C - 'Reason'
Yeh Yeh Yeh was the obvious first single. It's a no brainer.

Melanie C - 'Reason'
Sammy and I can at least agree on one thing, Here It Comes Again is very overrated. It never should have been a single.

Spice Girls - 'Forever'
Spiceworld was recorded in 2 months (June & July 1997). It was released on November 3 1997. It only took 5 months to release the album after the first recording sessions. The girls started to record Forever at the beginning of August 1999. So they probably could have had the album out in mid December 1999 to cash in on the Christmas sales.

On The Horizon is a bop. If it had been a hit, I highly doubt Melanie would hate it. The music video is awful though.

Spice Girls - 'Forever'
There is an official radio edit from the promo CD.

Geri Halliwell • General Discussion
The criticism some fans have towards Geri is laughable. These fans are still going to eat up whatever Spice Girls reunion project she's involved in. They're still going to put money in Geri's bank account no matter how many white outfits she wears or if some of her views are conservative now.

Pease explain how these YouTube videos have hurt her image if "no one is watching them". Oxymoron......

Which singles do you think should have made the UK Top 10
By the end of 2001 the girls were underperforming. Their singles were not selling over 100,000 copies. Their albums were not selling past 150,000 copies. It's not surprising Virgin Records were done with the girls in 2002. Melanie C has gone on record saying the record label didn't really care about her anymore during the Reason era due to new people in charge at Virgin Records. The girls and the record label made terrible single choices in 2001, but I don't know if better single choices would have prevented general audiences from solo spice apathy.

Denden, Dennis, and Lovin' On Your Mind Stems...
First time I'm hearing about the stems being out there for that leaked song. Eliot Kennedy was scammed out of the stems as well as the songs. Wow! FYI the real title of If It's Lovin On Your Mind is What You Want. It's registered on ASCAP and BMI. https://www.ascap.com/repertory#/ace/search/workID/907727844

I really hope we get Feed Your Love and Likely Stories this year. They are the most well known unreleased tracks after Woman. Biff has posted on Instagram in the past it's the song that got away. Likely Stories was registered in November 2020 by Biff's new publisher, Concord Sounds. I also hope they official release the demo of Wannabe. In hindsight it's weird they didn't release it on the Stop single as a b-side. Many fans would have recognized the demo as it was used in the Spice World movie. I also hope they release the demo of Say You'll Be There so we can listen to the full version of Mel B's rap in HQ.

This is more likely to happen than the girls releasing unreleased tracks. :(

Your Glastonbury setlist
Of course a song being on a playlist is going to factor in the amount of streams it has. A young person is far more likely to discover a legacy artist on a playlist than actively searching for them on their own. A record label has to choose what past hits they are going to push on playlists. They can't promote every single a particular artist has released in their career. Yes, Madonna has a ton of well known hits, but she also has many "forgotten" singles as well. Spiceboy listed 25 of her singles that he thinks are well known. Madonna has released over 70 singles in her career.

Your Glastonbury setlist
I agree with you to a certain extent. Spotify is a good indicator in which songs of a legacy artist has stood the test of time. Just because a single was a big hit back in the day, it doesn't mean it will find an audience decades later. For example, look at how many "forgotten" singles Madonna has.

Your Glastonbury setlist
There's only 4 solo songs on Spotify that have over 20 million streams (When You're Gone, I Turn To You, Never Be The Same Again, It's Raining Men). Matter of fact, they are also the only solo songs which have over 10 million streams. None of the Spice Girls album tracks have over 10 million streams. Melanie C could justify having a 7 or 8 minute solo set.

Your Glastonbury setlist
This thread has been interesting to say the least. This would be my ideal setlist to appease the general audience. Act 1 1. Spice Up Your Life 2. Say You'll Be There 3. 2 Become 1 4. Stop 5. Never Give Up On The Good Times 6. Mama Act 2 7. Move Over 8. Who Do You Think You Are 9. Too Much 10. If U Can't Dance 11. Holler 12. Goodbye Act 3 (Melanie C solo) 13. When You're Gone with Bryan Adams 14. I Turn To You/Never Be The Same Again medley Act 4 15. Wannabe 16. Viva Forever

Geri Halliwell • General Discussion
Odd is subjective. Something could be completely odd to you and normal for me. Why do some fans feel comfortable telling a woman what is and what isn't acceptable to wear? It's her body. She can wear whatever she wants in her YouTube videos.
-
Geri Halliwell • General Discussion
Women are much more criticised for what they wear than men. Using Hugh Jackman as a comparison is disingenuous. All of this comes down to fans being upset Geri doesn't act or dress like she did 20 years ago, which shows how toxic some fans truly are.

Geri Halliwell • General Discussion
I can't at gay men getting upset over what a woman wears. Who cares if Geri likes to wear white. A man telling a woman what to wear is sexist. How do Spice Girls fans don't get this?

UMG and the girls would be crazy not to release something this July to capitalize on the 25th anniversary. The girls are going to be trending everywhere. This would be the perfect time to test the waters with a "new" song. I believe it would be the perfect time to release Feed Your Love. After all, it was the first song the girls wrote and recorded. It would make sense to release it on their 25th anniversary.

Love this post. Imagine the possibilities Rarities album Remix album Ballad compilation album Christmas album or EP Spice deluxe edition Spiceworld deluxe edition Forever deluxe edition These releases would garner them more fans. It would also spotlight some of their incredible singles and album tracks which deserve more attention. The group is so much more than just Wannabe.

Spice Girls • Spotify / Apple Music / iTunes / YouTube
Exactly! I'm sure UMG would love to milk the fans if the girls allowed them to. There's plenty of ways UMG could expand their discography. Let's be honest here. The girls will probably never be seen as a credible music group with only 3 albums and one GH. Not to mention one of those albums the girls themselves disown. The girls have a huge opportunity to gain new fans by expanding their discography through compilation albums and anniversary editions.

We'll get a 25th Anniversary Wannabe pink bracelet and that will be it.

Universal Music Group probably doesn't push their catalogue on Spotify because they have no incentive to do so. They're probably okay with pushing Wannabe and that's it. UMG would probably be more inclined to promote their catalogue if the girls were more open to the idea of expanding their discography through compilation albums and anniversary editions.

At the very least they can official release the Wannabe demo as heard in Spiceworld in July. Then hopefully we get an anniversary edition of Spice in November along with a summer 2022 tour announcement.
