  1. I 100% agree with you Spiceboy. Feels So Good should have been the lead single. Hotter definitely should have been the second single released in the sunmer. Most of Hot sounds like rejects given to her. Mel B deserved better material.
  2. What a disaster. She's definitely going to lose sales over this.
  3. Yeah, that makes sense. Most retail stores don't carry CDs anymore. It is pretty embarrassing they are not selling their vinyls on their official website. I love how Mariah Carey is celebrating her 30th anniversary by releasing vinyls of her entire catalog along with a rarities album. Hopefully other artists take note. It makes sense most record labels want their A list talent to promote a deluxe/anniversary edition of an album so they can maximise profits.
  4. Deluxe editions of albums are mostly for did hard fans. Are legacy artists normally required to promote those beyond a few social media posts?
  5. Thanks for the information Sammy. It makes sense they don't milk their discography since they have no record label pressure to do so. I find behind the scenes music stuff so fascinating.
  6. I would be very surprised if we didn't get a deluxe edition of Spice next year. It's one of the best selling albums of all time. If they do release one fingers crossed it includes Feed Your Love, Likely Stories, Step To Me and the radio edit of the Who Do You Think You Are Morales Club remix.
  7. I would love a large coffee table book. I would buy that in a heartbeat. There's so much more they could do to milk the fans. Love your ideas Jay.
  8. Universal Music Group is in charge of their discography. Many fans have speculated the girls have veto power over any releases UMG wants to do. Hence, why we have never got a rarities album or deluxe editions of the albums. I understand the girls are protective of their legacy, rightfully so. Not releasing deluxe/collector editions of the 3 albums is a head scratcher.
  9. A lot of great discussion in this thread. Reason will always be a hot topic for discussion because the commercial failure of the album changed the trajectory of her solo career. We can debate the quality of the album, but I believe a huge factor in the album's failure was lost momentum. The gap between If That Were Me and Here It Comes Again was 2 years and 3 months. That's a long time in the pop world. In hindsight Melanie and the record label should have released Independence Day in April 2002 as a single for Bend It Like Beckham. Also, it would have been great if Reason was released in November 2002. Capitalize on those extra Christmas album sales.
  10. Are they celebrating Wannabe or their entire career? Only celebrating Wannabe would be a let down.
  11. Now this is the true tea. Denniz never gets enough credit. RIP
  12. I'm not that keen on them remaking the Wannabe music video. There's much better things they can do for the fans to celebrate the 25th anniversary. 1. Rarities album or Spice deluxe edition with a couple of unreleased songs 2. Huge coffee table book which includes a new 2021 photo shoot with all 5 girls 3. Spice World on blu-ray & 4K which includes a commentary track with all 5 girls 4. New documentary focusing on their discography. Disproving the misconception they were a manufactured group by showcasing their songwriting and creative decisions. That's just off the top of my head.
  13. Eliot Kennedy produced songs for Five so it's no surprise the production sounds somewhat similar. How many Max Martin songs sound the same? Judging 1999 demos with current year ears is probably why we will never hear the Biff pop tracks. Imagine if Last Time Lover never made the debut album. If it leaked today fans would say it sounds like a TLC reject.
  14. It's kind of hard to judge Forever when we know there are scraped pop tracks in the vault. Until we are able to hear the Forever Biffco songs, we will never know if the record label and the girls made the right decision with not using them.
