  1. A new DVD of Spice World? They can't even bother to release a quality version of the movie on blu-ray or 4K. Ridiculous!
  2. After 2022, it feels like the girls are officially over. Lackluster 25th anniversary releases. No anniversary celebration of the movie. No 25th anniversary tour.
  3. It's baffling why some of the girls would veto Likely Stories off of Spice 25. It's the perfect type of song that would be released on an anniversary edition of an album. I like the track. It's nice to have a new group song
  4. A Christmas album is such a no brainer for the group to do. Record ten Christmas covers, tack on Sleigh Ride and Christmas Wrapping. Along with Christmas mixes of 2 Become 1, Too Much and Goodbye. They would have a great 15 track Christmas album.
  5. I think the cracks are starting to show. Much of the fan base is fed up with being fed crumbs for the past 22 years.
  6. So where's the blu-ray/4K release for Spice World? Embarrassing there is no pre-order for it. Unless they are not going to do anything for its anniversary.
  7. It's interesting in one of their last interviews as a 5 piece they mention the 3rd album will have "solo" songs and duets. This is the blue print for a S Club 7 album. S Club 7 don't have very many songs where more than two members get solo parts. I've always thought that was a weird coincidence since S Club 7 was created by Simon Fuller.
  8. If the girls don't perform at Glastonbury in 2023, then maybe 2024? It is pretty ridiculous the girls have only done 60 tour dates in the last 22 years. The girls simply cannot get their act together even when it comes to touring.
  9. Hopefully we get Go Go Go since it's Biff's favorite. He says so in the comments of that Instagram post with the Forever songs.
  10. There are quite a few outtakes from Spice and they only released Feed Your Love. Likely Stories Serial Killer Pleasin' Me Overnight (1995 Version) Seven Days Image And Likeness Strong Enough At most I only see us getting Woman and one other unreleased track on Forever 25. The girls just don't want to release outtakes.
  11. You can try and justify SW 25 underperforming all you want. The vast majority of fans had issues with it, hence why it didn't do very well.
  12. A track by track commentary from the girls? I don't see anything.
  13. There's still a huge stigma around the group. Most still think they were a manufactured group that Simon Fuller created and branded. When the group is being mentioned, most are always quick to speak about their brand of girl power, their imagery and personalities. The music normally is the last thing mentioned. These latest anniversary editions didn't do anything to disprove that stigma. Where was the track by track commentary where they discussed their creative process?
  14. Ok, let me use some legacy bands as an example then. U2 did 60 shows on their 2018 word tour. Bon Jovi did 95 shows over the course of their 2 year world tour in 2017-2019. Metallica did 159 shows over the course of their 3 year world tour in 2016-2019. I used Madonna and Kylie as examples because they appeal to the same fan base as the Spice Girls. Also, it's much different for a woman to be away from her family than it is for a man.
  15. The girls can't even commit to a proper world tour. Madonna did 75 shows over the course of 6 months on her last tour. Kylie Minogue did 33 shows on her Golden tour in late 2018/early 2019.
  16. Thank you for this link. So It seems the girls did sign some sort of contract with Universal then. Good to know. Hopefully Universal does a better job in the future because these anniversary editions are not doing as well as other artists.
  17. Does Universal get any of their merch sales? As far as I know the girls do not have a recording contract with them. Universal only holds the distribution rights to their catalogue. Universal wouldn't be entitled to a percentage of their merchandise sales unless the girls agreed to give them some.
  18. George Michael's reissue of Older a few weeks earlier sold 12,652 vinyls. That really shows how low SW 25's vinyl numbers truly are.
  19. If you have to include merch to justify making a profit...... The girls can sell merch without an anniversary release. My main point is the UK is the biggest market for the girls. If that's all they did in the UK, I doubt sales from other countries are that high. Universal ain't in the business to break even or make a very small profit.
  20. 1,603 vinyls sold at £30 each = £48,090. For Americans that equals $57,462. There were 4 women hired to manage SW 25. No doubt that means Universal made zero profit on SW 25 after paying the team and printing costs.
  21. Thanks for the info Jay. Always appreciate your sales posts.
  22. In hindsight it's too bad Biff didn't repurpose some of the tracks he did with Victoria for the greatest hits. Imagine if we would have got some of these on the greatest hits. Hustler Flow Give It All Away Be With You Bittersweet Should've Known Better All of these tracks are great. They feel mature and "cool" compared to Headlines and Voodoo.
  23. A Never Give Up On The Good Times remix should have been the greatest hits single. It probably would have went top 5. It would have added another legitimate hit single to their legacy. Instead we got Headlines, which no one remembers or cares for.
  24. This is a interesting point to bring up. It makes perfect sense when you think about it. The girls probably don't even know the Universal team used low quality live tracks. Someone should mention this to Mel C. Her reaction will be very telling.
  25. SW 25 got what it deserved. One of the worst anniversary editions of an album that I've seen. Not paying the original photographers for HQ scans and using live tracks ripped from YouTube is embarrassing. Forever 25 will probably be just as bad. If Universal and the girls didn't put any effort into SW 25, why would they course correct with their least celebrated album. They will probably just release Woman and that's it. I don't see them releasing many of the pop songs from Forever.
