  1. The continued use of the word "flop" against someone who is scoring Top 10 and Top 20 hits are tiring and annoying as well. Slate Ed Sheeran because he's obsessed with the charts and making No.1, slate him when he's not. Whilst not being the biggest fan, I have just tried to show that a song is not a flop just because it hasn't done quite as well the artists previous releases. If that's annoying or tiring to read then sorry for my part in the debate. (I haven't overly used emojis from what I can see though). Maybe it's time to step back from this particular discussion and all agree to disagree.
  2. Best Kim Wilde is Kids in America, though I enjoyed a lot of her songs. I liked the Eurythmics, but they didn't get better than Sweet Dreams.
  3. Not to be the Grammar Police, but how do you talk about a song being a FLOP due to its SUCCESS in the same sentence?
  4. I have an idea of a song, but there's no video for it, only the Official Audio on YouTube. Is that okay?
  5. This is a BOP!!! I hope this does a Somedays rather than a No Bad Vibes (though the latter did well, without reaching the Top 40)
  6. If you think the Lorde song was also flopping then I can't help you. 😉 But let's agree to disagree
  7. So does that make What Was That by Lorde a flop? That was the lead single from an album, spent 2 weeks Top 20 without making the Top 10 and 6 weeks Top 40. Just a comparison because they did similar things in the charts.
  8. Try 12: weeks. That seemed like an eternity to most people on Buzzjack!! 😂
  9. Same Old Brand New You is A1's best original song. Certainly not forgotten here. I listened to it only about a week ago. Spinning Around did so much to get Kylie's career back on track, but I've never been that keen. Stomp is probably the worst of Steps' uptempo singles.
  10. Oh my Christ! Imagine Ordinary getting a reset!! I do think it's time for Pink Pony Club to move on...
  11. If you want to get really picky... AOMD - July 24 3 months later Fantasy - Oct 24 6 months later FUFN - Mar 25 3 months later Plastic Box - Jun 25 These were the official singles, with promos in-between.
  12. Those latest three ❤️ George Michael's best was A Different Corner Depeche Mode - maybe Everything Counts, but also maybe Personal Jesus Pet Shop Boys - Always On My Mind. Or West End Girls. Or about 10 others!!
  13. Westlife and Mariah Carey. Probably the worst thing ever to be released. I think I would rather listen to anything else in the world than that. I love the Billie Piper track, but preferred Something Deep Inside.
  14. Honestly... Pink Pony Club. At least Beautiful Things and Nice to Meet You are low Top 10 or lower. PPC is still Top 5 and will probably reclimb with Ordinary popping off.
  15. 9 minutes long and I couldn't hum a bar of All Around the World, so I had a quick listen... Nothing. Literally can't remember it at all.
  16. Rupert Everett convinced Madonna to record American Pie. Not sure she originally wanted to. It peaked low in America as was not released physically and only sent to radio so the peak is on airplay only. Madonna didn't want to include it on Music, but a record company executive twisted her arm. She later regretted it and banished it from GHV2 when she released that. I love her version. First song I ever sang in public at Karaoke.
  17. Actual lyrics (I believe) are "Cham Cham Chamke", which in Hindi means "Sparkles brightly", or similar. Yes, I Googled it.
  18. OMD being the best here. My brother was a fan. so I nicked his vinyl to listen to rather than buying it myself. They had some goodies, but Enola Gay is the best.
  19. Genuinely surprised and a little disappointed that Bloodline isn't taking off. Remember when some of us thought Alex would replace himself at No.1 with it? It's infinitely more interesting than Ordinary.
  20. Killin It Girl sounded not bad, actually. So good to have so many new songs in the charts and getting to hear them all 😀
  21. Third highest peaking Twenty-One Pilots single!! There is literally nothing wrong with this song at all. It's perfect.
  22. Suzanne is a decent enough track. Wasn't expecting it to chart, so it's nice to see Raye get another Top 40. It's got a very laid-back summer in the garden vibe.
  23. Umm... Say what? I was not ready for these older songs getting resets, but this Black Eyed Peas song is a birruva bop.
  24. Really? "Didn't take off." It's been less than 16 hours!!
  25. Still the best Kylie album. On a Night Like This Disco Down Your Disco Please Stay Butterfly Light Years All being the stand out tracks.
