It will be a shame to lose Stacey from the show. But understandable if Lacey wants to concentrate on her family. Pleased EE won the soap BAFTA. How are Harvey and Kathy supposed to be together with Jean and all the family living right there. I just see it being very awkward.
  2. Doesn't this just describe Forever Love? It was exactly what everyone expected as a Gary Barlow solo single. Even the fact that Gary became the first Take That member to have a solo #1 was ordinary. Now if it had been Jason or Howard that would have been a different matter. Gary Barlow writes and records a boring ballad and it makes #1. Unremarkable. (I take the point that it was made a big deal of at the time... But it was a news story and nothing more, surely)
  3. An abysmal no 1 but made up for with the arrival of Leave a Light On and If I Could Turn Back Time (though I tend to always hear Jack from Will & Grace singing the chorus in my head!)
  4. Regina... Which is nothing mind-blowing, but pleasant enough.

Waits for someone to make a joke about an Ed Sheeran song being a "number two". 💩🤣
  6. I'm going to agree with @Bjork here, but only because @Julian_ made a reasonable argument for Will and Gareth. Gary Barlow releasing a bland and boring ballad as the lead to his solo career was so what was expected. It made #1 because it was Gary Barlow. Ordinary.
  7. Ronan with another rather inspiring ballad there.
  8. Back to Deadmau5 again now.
  9. Was going for Heartbroken again, but learnt from previous mistakes and had a listen to it first... remember it now. So Avril instead this time

The thing that's arguably good about the influence of TikTok is that people hear a song on it and actively seek it out to play in full on streaming and add to their own playlists- so it feels like a more genuine play than just listening to Hot Hits or whatever and that feels more relevant for the charts. Counting a clip of a song on a TikTok trend that thousands of people do and upload regardless of whether they have heard,(or even like) the whole song or not would make the chart feel very watered down.
  11. Now this is an ordinary #1. Absolutely nothing innovative about putting Gareth and Will together for a duet and even less choosing a boring cover of a Beatles song. Just a money spinner and only a #1 because of who they were rather than what they had created.
  12. This completely. So not ordinary. And neither was My Camera Never Lies either.
  13. How are people voting for It's Raining Men yet??? I Want You Back is next for me
  14. Strip That Down is great. Should have stayed for much longer. For You is next in my book.

There's me thinking I follow the charts pretty well, yet was still really quite surprised today when they said it would potentially hold on to #1 for a NINTH week. Didn't it fall down the charts on its second week or something?
