ROUND 7: One Direction Solo UK Top 10 Hits Survivor
Sticking with Sign of the Times

Friday Chart Predictions
Looking like a 26th week Top 20 for Ordinary, with half of them at #1 #NotSoOrdinary 😁
-
Confidence Man x JADE - Gossip
If you want to take a positive chart position, it was #35 in yesterday's Big Top 40!

The Gallup Years- Top 10 sales- 1990
I remember this being my peak Madonna interest and Vogue just topping off everything that had happened with Like a Prayer, and then Dick Tracy and Immaculate Collection around the corner. I think Vogue is probably my fave Madonna song ever. The sheer thought that it could ever have been hidden away as a fifth-single-from-the-album-b-side doesn't bear thinking about!!

Friday Chart Predictions
Madonna getting 3.5k by first midweeks is incredibly front loaded but above what I would have expected all week, especially just for a vinyl/streaming only release. Kinda shows how much fans love the Ray of Light era and that the name Veronica Electronica itself peaked interest!

Veronica Electronica • Remix Album
If she doesn't sell a single extra copy, last week that sale would have got her #30 or #31 which is really above what I would have expected from this album. Really quite impressive!

Estimated ACR status updates 2025
I heard Beautiful Things on a car advert a couple of times the other day. Getting ready for a resurgence!!

iTunes Weekly Thread w/c 25th July 2025
Surely anyone who wanted to download Ordinary did like 5,000 years ago when it feels like it was first released?
-
Round 1: Year End Survivor #123
Surely a cover of Any Dream Will Do by Lee Mead is infinitely worse than Mr Brightside?
-
Round 4: Ultimate Survivor #12
Sugababes... Somebody Told Me and Everybody's Changing are two of my favourite songs ever!!
-
Round 7: Year End Survivor #122
On your way, Kanye...

Friday Chart Predictions
I would like to think that Liam is just having a laugh now, because if not... My tea's gone cold, I wondering why I got out of bed at all...

Pop Track of the Week 2025: Week 30
There's lots of good tracks here, but I went for Summer of Love. Never heard of Kai but it sounded awesome. Great to have Olly back too
-
Bedtime Stories ● Survivor Round 8
Secret. Though this was close out of three of them

Song Covers SoundClash: An Ending
I really enjoyed these, especially at the start. I admittedly tuned out a little during the last half (sorry!) but that was a general step back from the forum rather than this particular thread. Lots of songs I had never heard of known about before.

EastEnders
I have a little problem with accepting that Martin would have done a life insurance policy for Stacey to give it all to Kat to buy the pub with. I'm sure, in reality, that wouldn't have been his intention when taking out that insurance. Regardless of how rubbish Stacey thinks she is with money, a nice family holiday and some cash in a Trust Fund for when the kids are older would have struck more true. Regardless, it's EastEnders and we suspend belief!! As an aside, the whole show feels a little messy at the moment. Another teenage pregnancy seems tiresome

Veronica Electronica • Remix Album
I listened to this earlier and won't be going back to it. It's not that I don't like remix projects - You Can Dance and Finally Enough Love were great - but this is just 7 not very good remixes and a demo at the end. I don't like remixes that cut out half of the lyrics or that take the song too far away from the original. With this album, it felt at times like I was listening to faceless dance music with a few Madonna vocals chucked over the top now and again. Certainly something that I could have happily skipped over.
-
Tame Impala - Deadbeat
Yes, I am liking this on first listen. Couldn't name another song by them off the top of my head, but sure I would recognise them if I heard them. This feels like a laid back chill dance track which is perfect for... Well... The end of Summer.

sombr - 12 to 12
This is decent. It's no Undressed, but I don't think it's trying to be. There is a definite 80s feel on this track. Would like to see it do something, but no idea which way this one will go
-
Olly Murs - Save Me
Listening to this for first time right now... And it's okay. Undoubtedly not expected to do a single thing chart-wise, but a nice introduction to the new album. Very early Olly sounding, which isn't a bad thing
-
Veronica Electronia ● where will it chart?
Yeah, I've gone for Top 50 as well. Only vinyl and streaming won't get Madonna a massively high chart position, surely?
-
Least favourite Lady Gaga 3rd single ● ROUND 5
Going to have to be Alejandro now. What a strong Top 4 though.
-
Alex Warren - You'll Be Alright, Kid
I haven't listened to this album. I don't really want to. But it looks like it's going to do okay based on the mid-weeks. Probably won't hit 20k though. @Liam Sota - I admire your dedication to the person who appears to be your fave current act. But maybe slightly tone it down, just to save yourself some face? Unless, of course, you are just taking the pi$$ and then job done ✅

Confidence Man x JADE - Gossip
I do really like this... But I am not expecting it to chart as Confidence Man have never had a UK top 100. With that in mind, the Wednesday release isn't a problem.

Bedtime Stories ● Survivor Tie-Breaker
Secret. Great song, but I thought a weak lead at the time.
