The Gallup Years- Top 10 Sales- 1989
All Around the World is decent enough, but I wasn't over enthused at it's time of release. I was probably scratching my head over that Kylie entry position.

Streaming Services Chart Discussion; W/C 09/05/25
I was thinking this earlier. More than one person on here (maybe ever me!) declared that it was likely that his hit-making days were over and others said you could never write him off. And it looks like you can't!!

iTunes Weekly Thread w/c 9th May 2025
A question about the JADE tracks. If someone pre-orders the album, would they then get the 5 songs she's already released from it for Free and would these then count towards the iTunes chart? Just thinking that would be why 4 tracks are 22-25 and then FUFN higher because it's the latest and getting purchases anyway? Putting two and two together here based on a comment made earlier in the week and don't know anything about iTunes as have actually never used it.

Song Covers SoundClash #50
I went for AIWFCIY. But only because it's the only Mariah Scarey track that I can bear to listen to in any guise.

Round 8: Year End Survivor #114
I Remember. I only really like I Miss You of what is left.
-
Round 5: Year End Survivor #115
Avril again. Don't think she's lasting much longer now.

Round 2: Year End Survivor #116
50 Cent seems like a good shout to go for now.

JADE - THAT'S SHOWBIZ BABY! • 1st Album
People who were waiting for the album and now they know it's 4 months away they are downloading the singles after all?! 🤔😉

The Pop Factor: Season 1 • Registration
I am so tempted to do this, but my thinking was no a contemporary act. Can it be from any era or does it have to be post a certain year?

JADE - THAT'S SHOWBIZ BABY! • 1st Album
I really like the cover. It's chaotic, but strikes the right note. Glad this is finally coming and will build up pre-orders throughout the festival season. She will no doubt tease tracks from it in her sets. It's coming... But September is not SOON... But at least it IS coming and I never thought it would.

JADE - THAT'S SHOWBIZ BABY! • 1st Album
It's coming "SOON". Jade has been telling you this for ages!! 😁

Celebrity Traitors UK • Series 1
There are some decent names in there (amongst the ones I've never heard of). With such a large cast, I wonder if they'll keep to the episode format of the non-celebrity version, with three episodes a week over four weeks. I am excited for this, but there's something missing over celebrities who could have met before as opposed to random public who are mostly strangers (apart from the odd mother/son, partners, siblings).

JADE - THAT'S SHOWBIZ BABY! • 1st Album
Fleur East would know better than most about record companies sleeping on talent!!

EastEnders
I thought this too. Cindy may as well have shouted, "Lights! Camera! Action!"

Bedtime Stories ● Survivor Round 5
And Forbidden Love for me three. Though this is damn difficult now

JADE - THAT'S SHOWBIZ BABY! • 1st Album
I really hope that for the sake of all the fans who have been (im) patiently waiting for an album announcement for so long that they finally get it... ...and that it's not just the release of another "buzz" single.

The DJ Sammy track is cracking!!

Is "Forever Love" by Gary Barlow the most Ordinary UK #1 ever?
Although I have championed Forever Love as possibly being the most ordinary #1 on the other thread, I have gone Not Sure here as there could be another that is so ordinary we haven't thought of it yet!! What I would say, and what @awardinary has said from the beginning, is that it is very subjective and there will always be an argument for and against every contender. The fact that any song got enough interest for it to make #1 in the first place discounts it's merits for being "ordinary".

EastEnders
It will be a shame to lose Stacey from the show. But understandable if Lacey wants to concentrate on her family. Pleased EE won the soap BAFTA. How are Harvey and Kathy supposed to be together with Jean and all the family living right there. I just see it being very awkward.

What is the most Ordinary #1 ever?
Doesn't this just describe Forever Love? It was exactly what everyone expected as a Gary Barlow solo single. Even the fact that Gary became the first Take That member to have a solo #1 was ordinary. Now if it had been Jason or Howard that would have been a different matter. Gary Barlow writes and records a boring ballad and it makes #1. Unremarkable. (I take the point that it was made a big deal of at the time... But it was a news story and nothing more, surely)

The Gallup Years- Top 10 Sales- 1989
An abysmal no 1 but made up for with the arrival of Leave a Light On and If I Could Turn Back Time (though I tend to always hear Jack from Will & Grace singing the chorus in my head!)

Regina... Which is nothing mind-blowing, but pleasant enough.

Music Video Relevance
Waits for someone to make a joke about an Ed Sheeran song being a "number two". 💩🤣

What is the most Ordinary #1 ever?
I'm going to agree with @Bjork here, but only because @Julian_ made a reasonable argument for Will and Gareth. Gary Barlow releasing a bland and boring ballad as the lead to his solo career was so what was expected. It made #1 because it was Gary Barlow. Ordinary.

Round 1: Year End Survivor #116
Ronan with another rather inspiring ballad there.
